After Marriage

This story is all about a two people who get married and try to understand each other. Lets see how they understand each other. Rahul and Anita get married to each other. It was a arranged marriage, but the twist in this marriage is that Rahul and Anita belong to two different states of India. Rahul belong to Assam and Anita belong to Maharashtra. Now you might be thinking then how these two meet or their family meet up. Basically the Parents of Rahul and Anita were best friends while they were studying in Delhi. So they decided to turn their friendship to relationship by marriage of their children.

The marriage was well organised and Anita came to Assam after marriage. As we know Assam is a beautiful place to visit, so Anita feel in love with the nature and started loving Assam. Anita and Rahul were one of the best looking couple in that area where they live. Both use to visit various places of Assam and spend quality time with each other. This help in developing a healthy relationship between them. Both feel in love with each other, they love each other so much that no one can say that it is a arranged marriage couple. Even society people starting making rumor that they love each other before marriage.

Four months passed away like this, Anita started missing Rahul when he use to go office. Anita use to spend his day with her mother-in-law. Both talk about the culture of Assam and how people live in Assam, even her mother-in-law help Anita to learn the local language of Assam. Anita started understanding what people were saying in local language but some time she use to misunderstand, as same words may have different meanings in different situations. This misunderstanding grew more as she use to go out with her mother-in-law to market and people started talking with her in local language. Anita told to Rahul that people does not like her and even mother-in-law does not like her. So Rahul asked her mother what is the matter, then Rahul understand that it is just a problem of language which is creating misunderstanding. So Rahul explain Anita that it is a problem of language, all people love her but Anita was unable to understand this. So Anita told I want to do job, as she has done post graduate and this job will help her to keep herself away from the people, special neighbour.

Anita started work, but this job kept Anita away from her in-laws and Anita was unable to spend quality time with her in-laws. At night when they sit to talk, Anita always feel that her in-laws does not love her as she is doing job and not spending time with them. Slowly this feeling of Anita started ruining her relationship with Rahul as well. As she started complaining about her in-laws to Rahul, which started irritating Rahul as she was talk about his parents. To refresh Anita, Rahul use to take Anita to some beautiful places of Assam but as Anita mindset was getting negative she started hating these places. Slowly she started hating Assam, this also hamper her work and her productivity. So she started to get angry with Rahul on small small issues. This behavior of Anita started a bad impression of her on her in-laws and other relatives. Even Rahul felt that Anita is upsetting all. So Rahul asked Anita what do you want? Then Anita told I am unable to adjust in this environment, I want to go back to Maharashtra. She also told Rahul to come with her and start work in Maharashtra. So Rahul discuss the same with his parents, Rahul's father was not ready to send him to Maharashtra but Rahul's Mother told go and save your marriage life as you have a long life to spend together.

Rahul left his job and came to Maharashtra to try his luck and keep his wife happy. Anita was much happy to be with his own parents. Now she felt the importance of her parents. Anita also started applying to job both in government sector as well as in private sector. She was lucky enough to clear a Government Exam and get a class two officer job. Everyone was happy, even Rahul's parents were happy for that job, but now they knew that their son will never return to Assam as Anita got posting in city in Maharashtra which is just 40 km from Anita's home town.

Soon Anita and Rahul shifted to the city where Anita get posted, even Rahul also got a job in private sector in that city. Both took a apartment on rent for there living. Both were very happy, but somewhere in his heart Rahul missed his parents. Time passed very fast and both decided to buy a house for them, so Anita apply for loan as Rahul was in private sector so to get loan was difficult for him. Soon Anita got loan and they bought a house. Rahul and Anita frequently visited Anita's parents, even they attended parties where Anita's Parents were invited. People started praise Anita for achieving so much success in such a small time. This started giving Rahul a sense of ignorance. As everybody knew Anita and she is more successful then Rahul, so people started to discuss events, party, and other social function with Anita. Rahul felt that he was left alone, so he started to send more time in office. Which create time management issue between Anita and Rahul, which resulted in more quarrel among them.

To solve the problem between them Rahul and Anita took a leave of Fourteen days from there office and spend seven days in Bangkok. It was very pleasant trip, both spend time together and there was no relative or family member to spoil their moment. Both describe to each other what are the issue both are facing in their personal life. Anita also understand how Rahul was feeling, she was felt sorry for Rahul as he scarified his parents love and his career just to be with her and to keep her happy. So Anita decided to take care of Rahul and see that he does not feel ignored.

After spending seven beautiful days in Bangkok, both return to Maharashtra and Anita's parents come to pick them up and asked them to stay with them for seven days as they knew that they had seven more days of leave left. Anita's parents want to spend more time with their daughter and son-in-law. Both Rahul and Anita could not say no, so they went with Anita's parents to their home. Rahul was little uncomfortable as it was his in-laws house but he tried his best to be as normal as he can be. Anita got busy with her parents, showing them photos and gifts they had brought from Bangkok and again Rahul felt left out. Rahul was sitting in sofa very casually and watching television, at that time Anita's mother said "sit properly son and lower the volume of the television, as they live in a peaceful society, where people does not make noise". This was a good advice but as Rahul was feeling ignored, he was upset with this advice and thought "only these people are living in peaceful society and we live in fish market".

The second day when Rahul was going for bath, Anita's father said "son do you know how to put on geyser or shall I put it on". This was a caring sentence from his father-in-law but as the state of mind of Rahul was not good so he felt it as an insult, he thought in his mind, "only you people know how to use geyser, we have never seen it or we are grown up in pond or what?". Like this he was getting hurt by each and every statement/ sentences made by his in-laws, which create so much frustration that Rahul thought of giving divorce to his wife Anita and went to Assam. But he control his anger and went out to a park which was just four kilometer way from his in-laws house.

The park was very beautiful and big, it cover a area for two kilometer. So Rahul went to the inner most part of the park and sit there. He saw birds fly and coming to their nest, even the beautiful flowers also attracted Rahul sit there and thought of his family and his life in Assam. He thought of going back to Assam and taking Anita with him. Then he realized that Anita will also feel the same as he is feeling here as that will be Anita's in-laws house. He also analyze all the statements/sentences told to him by Anita's parents to him. He could now understand that all these statements/sentences were told to him out of love from him by his in-laws. But as they are not his parents so he took the wrong meaning it. Now he understand how Anita might had felt in Assam when his parents have advised Anita out of love when she was in Assam. But as they were not Anita's parents, so she took it in negative way and started hating the people of Assam as now he is hating the people of Maharashtra. He understood that people are not wrong it is just the situations which make the people seems to be wrong. After understanding this Rahul was much happy and relax and went to his in-laws house talk to all like there own family member. He was much happy with Anita's parents and this give Anita happiness and she felt that she should also communicate with her in-laws in the same way as Rahul was doing.

Anita and Rahul started understanding each other issues and accept each other family as their own family. This reduce their clashes and when every they had problem they come to their home and discuss the issue and try to resolve it with love and care. This help them to become the perfect couple, which people use to think about them just after marriage. Now both give equal time to both their parents and give more time to their personal relation.
