In a busy Indian city lived a boy named Aarav, whose presence had a strange effect on people. He was not just handsome — there was something in his smile, his voice, the way he listened, that made girls feel seen and important. From school to college, attention followed him like a shadow.

Girls liked him easily. Many fell in love with him. And Aarav had one weakness — he could never say no.

Whenever a girl confessed her feelings, he felt guilty rejecting her. He didn’t want to hurt anyone. So he would accept, thinking he would manage things later. But “later” always turned into pain.

Over the years, he had many girlfriends. Some lasted weeks, some months. But sooner or later, each one found out about another girl. Tears followed. Arguments followed. And then breakups.

Yet, strangely, most of them never truly hated him. They left, but a part of them still cared. Aarav wasn’t cruel — he was just weak when it came to emotions.

But there was one girl who was different.

Her name was Meera.

She had loved Aarav since their school days. She never formally proposed, never demanded anything, never created drama. Instead, she stayed beside him as his closest friend.

She used to jokingly call herself his “permanent girlfriend” and his “future wife.”

Aarav would laugh every time.

To him, Meera was his safest place. He shared everything with her — his crushes, his relationships, even his breakups. He never realized how much it hurt her.

One evening, as they sat on the terrace under the quiet sky, Aarav was talking about another girl he had started liking.

Meera listened silently, then said in a calm voice,
“Go wherever you want… love whoever you want… just always return to me.”

He smiled, thinking she was joking.

But she wasn’t.

She truly meant it.

However, Aarav’s parents never liked Meera. They thought she was too simple, too ordinary for their charming son. They wanted someone beautiful, someone who would match their family’s image.

So one day, they told Aarav they had found a girl for him.

Her name was Prity.

When Aarav first saw her, he was stunned. She was incredibly beautiful, graceful, confident. The moment she entered the room, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

For the first time, he felt nervous.

And without thinking much, he agreed to the engagement.

When Meera heard the news, her heart broke quietly. She didn’t cry in front of anyone. She didn’t fight. But deep inside, she couldn’t accept that the boy she had loved for years was slipping away.

Meanwhile, Aarav and Prity started spending time together. They went out in the evenings, walked through busy streets, laughed at small things. Slowly, something real began to grow between them.

One evening, Prity wore a beautiful red dress, and they were walking through a narrow road near her house. Suddenly, an angry ox broke free from somewhere and ran toward them.

Before Prity could react, Aarav pulled her aside and shielded her. They fell hard to the ground. In the chaos, their clothes got slightly torn, and both of them were shaken.

But they were safe.

As they stood up and began walking toward her house, a group of local boys started misbehaving and teasing them. Aarav stepped in front of Prity.

He tried to protect her. He fought them, even though he was alone and outnumbered. He got hit, pushed, and nearly fell, but he refused to move away from her.

At that moment, Prity’s parents and relatives, who lived nearby, heard the noise and rushed to the spot. They drove the boys away and brought Aarav and Prity home.

But as they entered the house, Aarav froze.

Sitting in the living room was Meera.

She had come before them.

And she had told everything.

His past relationships.
His habits.
His inability to stay loyal.

Prity’s parents were shocked and angry.

They turned to Aarav and said firmly,
“This engagement cannot happen. Please leave.”

Aarav stood there silently, his head lowered. For the first time in his life, he felt the weight of all his mistakes at once. He turned and slowly walked toward the door.

But just as he was about to step out, Prity’s voice stopped him.

“Wait.”

Everyone turned.

Prity walked forward, her eyes filled with tears.

She looked at her parents and said,
“Yes, he made mistakes. I know everything now. But today, I also saw something else.”

She turned toward Aarav.

“I saw a man who didn’t run away when danger came. I saw someone who stood in front of me and took the blows meant for me.”

Her voice trembled.

“Maybe he was confused before. Maybe he didn’t understand love. But I believe people can change.”

She held Aarav’s hand.

“I love him. And I want to marry him.”

The room fell silent.

Her parents tried to argue, tried to warn her. But she didn’t move. She had made her choice.

For the first time in his life, Aarav felt truly ashamed… and truly grateful.

At that moment, he realized something important.

Attraction had always come easily to him.
But true love… true commitment… was something he had never understood until now.

After long discussions, Prity convinced her parents. The engagement stayed.

Days later, they got married.

And Aarav changed.

Not because someone forced him.
But because, for the first time, someone had trusted him even after knowing his past.

From a distance, Meera watched the wedding quietly. Her eyes were filled with tears, but there was also peace in them.

She had loved him for years.
And sometimes, love doesn’t mean winning.

Sometimes, it means letting go.

Aarav, the boy who could never say no, had finally chosen one person for life.

And for the first time… he truly meant it.
