My First and Last Mistake - A story of a small town girl

It is always difficult for a small-town girl to come alone to a big city to study and adjust to the boys and girls of the so-called modern culture boys and girls. But I had the courage to study in the big city as the course which I want to study was not available in my home time. Let me introduce myself to you all, my name is Simran, a bubbly girl from Balangir, Odisha. I was very popular in my house and in my neighborhood as I scored a 78% mark in my bachelor's degree in the year 2004 and at that time it was considered a very good score as nobody had ever scored above 70% in my neighborhood in his or her bachelor degree. I was very happy but a little bit scared as I had left my beautiful town to study the course which could give me a bright future.

I got a letter from the college in Pune; the college has asked me to come for an interview and entrance examination. I was confident that I will clear the interview and entrance examination, so I asked my father to book my ticket for Pune, my father wanted to come with me for the exam. But I told him, father this is my journey and I have to fight for it. So I got my ticket and wait for the day for the entrance exam. I reached the college one day before the exam; I visited the office of the college and ask if they can provide any room to stay for one day. The college staff was very friendly he arranges for another staff to ascot me to the girl's hostel where I had to stay for one day. After reaching the hostel room, I called my father and told him how I manage everything and now calling from the hostel room. My father cried in joy and was very proud of me as I was become independent and moving in the direction of a bright future. In my room I got a roommate, she was from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Her name was Priya, I told her that I have visit Raipur twice while I was studying bachelor's. Priya also told me that she had some relatives in Odisha, so we become friends, and decided to together as roommates if we get selected for the master’s course in the college.

It was evening and Priya asked me to go out and see the college and its beautiful garden and lovely fountain. So we went out to see the college, it's garden and what a lovely fountain. We set in front of the fountain for a half-hour, while sitting there I noticed that one boy was trying to get our attention. I felt uncomfortable, so I asked Priya to go back to the hostel, but Priya told let's have our dinner early tonight so that we can get more time to study at night. So we went to the canteen and ordered some food and started eating meanwhile I saw the same boy coming towards us. He come and set at the next table and ordered some food. I felt uneasy so I eat my food fast and ask Priya to finish her food and come with me to the hostel. We went to the hostel and I called dad, I want to tell him about the boy, but I don’t want to scare my dad, so I did not tell him about the boy, I just told him about Priya and my early dinner and put the phone and started preparing for tomorrow exam and interview.

It was exam day, so I and Priya reach the exam hall on time and wrote the exam. While giving the exam I noticed that there were more than 500 students as the exam was conducted in 10 different rooms. But they will only select 60 students, which makes me a little nervous. Even Priya was giving an exam in the next room. But I gave my best and completed the exam and I was confident that I will be selected. After the exam, I was given one hour break, and the administrative staff told me that there won’t be one-to-one interviews but they are going to conduct group discussions. In each group they kept 20 students, I search for my group and the room number where they will conduct the discussion. I reached the room in time and took my chair, and then a tall and fair sir enters the room and gives us a topic, and asks us to start the discussion. The topic was new to me and I was unable to say anything. One student initiated the discussion in the English language after that one by one started to speak in English but the problem for me was I was not confident about the topic and I have to say lie so I prefer to speak in Hindi. As soon as I finished speaking, the boy whom I saw near the fountain countered my speech and asked me a few questions. I was surprised to see him, I got scared but as I want to get selected, so I gather my courage and replied to him back, but he replied to me back also, like this I discussed with the boy for more than 5 minutes so sir told us to give chance to other students to speak. So after that, I did not get a chance to speak again but I knew that I had talked more than other.

After the group discussion, we all went to the ground floor and the boy came running to me and said thank you. I asked why you are saying thank you. He told me that his English communication skills are a little poor and he was feeling ashamed to speak in English it was because of me he was able to talk in the group discussion. He asked for my name and I told her that if he and I got selected then we will be in the same class and then we will get enough time to know our names. After saying that I went to the hostel and in the evening I left the room and went to the railway station to catch my train as the result of the exam was to be declared after 14 days.

After 20 days I received a selection letter from the college, I was very excited as I had cleared the first step towards a bright future. The college has asked me to report to the college within two weeks, so I did my shopping and meet my entire relative who leave nearby and took their blessing and was ready to go to Pune. This time my father was also coming with me as he wanted to see the college, hostel and even he has to pay the big college fees. It was a big amount for my family as we belong to a middle-class family but my father arranges the college and come with me to Pune. When we arrive at Pune Railway Station, he saw the crowd and asked me are you sure you can manage here. I assure my dad that I will be fine and make him proud.

With lots of dreams in my eye, we reached the college campus, and we unloaded our luggage from the cab. The security person of the college came to us and said if you are going to stay in the college hostel and meet the hostel warden and collect your room key and keep your luggage there. So we visited the hostel warden's office, which is just on the ground floor of the girl’s hostel. The warden said you have to pay the fees to get the keys to your room and even she said you have to share your room with two more girls. So dad paid the hostel fees by showing the selection letter of the college, the warden also collected separate fees for my father as he was not allowed in the girls' hostel. The warden said they had a separate block for parents to stay in, so she give me my keys and my father his keys for the room. I said to my father that I will take half an hour to get ready and after that, we will go to the college administrative block to pay the college fees.

It took one hour for me to settle my luggage and took bath and get ready when I came down, I saw my dad was waiting for me. I said sorry to dad and we went to the administrative block of the college to pay the fees. When reach near the fees collection counter, we saw a long line of around 30 people standing to pay the fees. I told dad that it might take more than an hour for our chance to come, father said don’t worry we will stand in the line and wait for our turn.  But at that time the boy whom I saw near the fountain said congratulation, finally, you got selected, now we can know each other names. I told the boy that my father is with me and lets us first pay the fees and then we can talk. As soon as he knew that it was my father, he touch my father’s feet and said namaskar (a traditional Indian way to greet), my father asked me who is he? Before I can give an answer, the boy told me his name is Sameer and he also told me that I help him in group discussions, and because of this he got selected. My father was really happy to know that their daughter is so brilliant that she help other to get selected for college. Sameer asked my father to leave the line for fees and come with him, as he can take them inside the office. So my father and I went with Sameer, Sameer told me that the clerk in the administrative block is his uncle. He took us inside the office and he handed over the selection letter, my certificates, and fees to his uncle. His uncle said Sameer come in line, Sameer told that this is the girl who help him in the group discussion, after hearing that his uncle took my selection letter and certificates and did the verification and after that, he collected the fees and give us the receipt. While giving the receipt, the Sameer's uncle told to my father that I am very brilliant; he also gave Sameer some money and told him to take me and my father to the canteen.

Sameer asked my father to come to the canteen, and my father said yes, but on one condition that my father will pay the canteen bill. Sameer said, no but my father makes him ready for that. For the first time, I was not scared of Sameer anymore, he felt like family now as he was very friendly with my father. Even he was talking more to my father than me. I felt so stupid to be scared and behave harshly toward Sameer in the starting. We reach the canteen and it was almost 1 pm, so we order lunch for the three of us. A few minutes later Sameer's uncle came to the canteen as it was lunch time in college, he came and sat with us and started talking with us about our home town. Meanwhile, my father asked if the admission formality was completed as we have seen many students waiting for their turn. Sameer’s uncle said it will take up to 7 pm to finish the work of the remaining students, as for each student they need 10-15 min. My father said thanks to Sameer for helping in the admission process otherwise we would had to stand till 7pm. Sameer replied very politely uncle, first, your daughter helped me and I just returned the favor. Sameer’s uncle said you carry on I have to go to the office to finish the work and he went back to the office and while going he said something to the owner of the canteen. We set and chat there till 2 pm in the canteen and Sameer said uncle allow me to show you some beautiful places in the city. He said I have the keys to my uncle’s car. My father said no but Sameer insisted so much that we got ready to go with him. When we went to pay the bill for our lunch, the owner told us that Sameer's uncle had already paid the bill. We told him that it was not fair, then Sameer told ok, you pay for the places where we will visit.

Sameer took us to a beautiful flower park and from there he took us to a multiplex named Asha, where we watched a movie. It was my father’s first experience watching a movie in a multiplex, as at that time in my home town we don’t have a multiplex. Even it was difficult for my father to take me to the theater as there were antisocial people in the theater, so in my hometown, it was not safe to take a girl to the theater. But in this multiplex it felt like home, no one was screaming in dialog or on any scene, and everyone was just sitting and watching the movie. My father told me that he was very happy to be with her watching a movie, he said he always thought of bringing me to the theater to watch a movie but because of the bad boys, he never asked me and my mother to come for the movie. My father thanks Sameer for the movie. After that, we went for dinner, as it was 9 pm. We took dinner and this time my dad convinces Sameer and paid the bill. Sameer drive us to the hostel and said he will ascot us to the hostel gate as it was 10:30 pm and the hostel closes at 10:00 pm. Sameer came with us and talked with the warden and she allowed me in. I asked Sameer do you know the warden also, and Sameer said yes, the warden's family is next to his house, so he knew her from childhood. I said goodnight to dad and Sameer and went to my room. I was so tired that I slept within a few minutes after I reached my room.

The next day, I got ready and went to parents' block as my father was supposed to leave by 12:30 pm. I talked with my father and my father said Sameer seems to be a nice boy. I said yes, I feel the same. I told dad let’s take breakfast as it was 10:00 am and we have to catch the train before 12:30 pm. My dad said relax Sameer is coming to help us. I said really, I think you had made Sameer your friend. My father said yes he is friendly. We reached the canteen, and I saw Priya, I asked when she came. She told that she came yesterday and the whole day she was busy with the admission process. Priya asked me how your admission process was. I said Sameer help us and we completed the process in 15 minutes. Priya asked who is Sameer? I said the boy whom we saw near the college fountain, his uncle work in the college so he help us. Priya said remember you were afraid of her and now you are friends or what? I said will tell you the whole story in my room. Even I asked Priya to be my roommate, she said yes, we will do the procedure for that. I said Sameer will help us in that as he knows the warden. Priya said really? I said yes. Then I introduce Priya to my father mean while Sameer came and sit by my father's side and said already for the journey. Sameer said to my father, you should have stayed for a few more days. We could have so much fun, Sameer said next time you come for more days. My father said sure he will try to manage and more days next time. We eat our food then Sameer dropped my father at the railway station and dropped me at the college campus and went back to his house and did not come back to college.

The next morning I and Priya went to the warden to ask to change our rooms, as we want to be roommates. When the warden saw me she asked how I know Sameer. I replied we just met in a group discussion and after that we became friends. Warden said Sameer is a good boy, but a few months back he had a break-up with her girlfriend and due to which he eat poison and was in the hospital for days, his condition was very serious. Somehow he survives and completed his bachelor's exam and got admission here. His parents choose this college as his uncle is working here and he could keep an eye on him. The warden said Sameer's girlfriend was fair like me and Sameer use to call her preity as she looks like a Bollywood star Preity Zinta. Their love story was famous in our area and everybody thought that they will get married in the future but she left Sameer and went to Delhi for studies. She warns me that just be friends with Sameer and never play with his heart. I told the warden that, I hardly know him and I assure her that I have come here to study and I am committed to my studies as I want a bright future for me. Then the warden changed our room and Priya and I became roommates.

Then Priya came to my room and kept his luggage in her place. She came to me and what would have happened between Sameer and his girlfriend that he ate poison. I replied, who I could know. She said you were together for a whole day, he must have mentioned something to you, even I think he likes you, that the reason he favors you so much. I said my father was with us the whole time and he never mentions about his girlfriend, he just behaves like a well-behaved friend.  And we are hardly friends. Priya said let's go to the warden and know more about Sameer's girlfriend. I said, she just warns me not to play with Sameer's feelings. I am not going to the warden and ask about Sameer. After that, we sat and talked about other things.

The next day warden called all girls and said to collect their timetables from the college office and get ready for your studies as Lectures are going to start in two days. So I went to collect the timetable. Sameer’s uncle recognizes me and said how are you? Do you like the college campus? I said yes I liked it. He also said to collect your id card tomorrow.  I said ok and collected the timetable and came back to the hostel. The next day I went to the college’s office to collect the id card but I saw Sameer collecting his id card. So I greet Sameer and said how are you? He said I am fine and now feeling better after seeing you. I said don’t flirt with me. He said I am not flirting, I don’t know when ever I see you I feel happy. It seems like your face reminds me of someone with whom I was very happy. I said, are you talking about your girlfriend who went to Delhi for her studies. He hold my hand and slowly said don’t say this in front of my uncle. So I collected the id card and Sameer and I went to the college canteen. Then I asked him why she left you and went to Delhi. First, Sameer asked me where did you know about my girlfriend? I replied, from the warden, she has warned me also not to play with your heart. He laughs and said, she might have told me that because you have some similar features to my girlfriend. When I first saw you near the fountain, I thought my girlfriend came back, so I came near you and you went to the canteen and I realized that it was not my girlfriend. She always helps me in my studies and when you speak in Hindi in the group discussion, I felt like my girlfriend came in your form to help in group discussion. That is the reason I am so free with you, as I feel like I know you.  I got a little angry as he compare me with her girlfriend and I said, don’t compare me with your girlfriend, as I never leave my family and friends. Sameer replied, you left your family and friends and came here to study. I felt hurt and said it’s not the same, and left the canteen in anger and run to the hostel.

In the evening I thought that thought Sameer was right I left my parents, friends, and relatives and came here to study. But I have not broken anyone's heart, everyone was happy with my decision of studying in Pune. I called dad through hostel landline as at that time the mobile phone was not so common, I asked dad if he is happy with my decision of coming to Pune to studies. Dad said, we miss you here but we are proud of your decision to study in Pune. We all love you and are with you in each and every decision of yours; you don’t think much just concentrate on your studies and come back after your study is finished. I felt happy and kept the phone after speaking to my dad for 10 minutes.

On the first day of my lecture, the lecturer took attendance and my roll number was just behind Sameer's roll number as our name starts with the alphabet S and the roll number was set alphabetically. After the lecture was over Sameer come to me and said sorry for what he said in our last meeting. I said it was ok, I am not angry anymore as all my family, friends, and relatives love me for my decision to study in Pune. Sameer laugh and went to the canteen. Priya asks me what’s the matter with “sorry and it's ok”. I told Priya that Sameer compare me with her girlfriend and even said we look similar. Priya said O my God, that’s the reason he is behind you, boys always like one type of girl and it seems you are his type of girl, is he want to make you his new girlfriend? I said I have no interest in becoming his girlfriend, I came here to study and I will just concentrate on my studies and went back to my home time after study is completed. Priya said I know but it is good to have a boyfriend, he will be there to protect you from others and even help you in going outside as he is a local boy here and he has good contact in college also, even he is good looking. She said to use him for two years till your education gets completed and after two years leave him and go back to your home town. I replied in anger, I will leave him so that he will try to kill him for me, I am not like his girlfriend. Then Priya said don’t be angry, if you are not interested then let me try, just take me to him. I said never, I will protect him from you; you are just like her girlfriend who left him. Priya said it looks like you are behaving like a protective girlfriend who wants to save her boyfriend from other girls. I said to end this topic and let’s go to the canteen.

In the canteen, we order some snacks and sit at the corner table as the rest of the tables were occupied. Meanwhile, Sameer came and sit by my side and said please don’t mind as all the other table are occupied and you are the only person I know. Priya replied you know me also, as I am Simran best friend and roommate. Sameer shake hands with Priya and said your friend is angry with me because of words. Priya said she know everything, and now I am not angry with him. Priya said I always talk about him. I said it not true. But Priya said is it true that your ex-girlfriend looks like Simnar. Sameer said yes. Priya asked do you have her photo. Sameer took out his valet and showed her girlfriend's photo to Priya. Priya looked at me and said really she looks like you. I took the valet from Priya’s hand and saw the photo, and I swear she looks like my sister, but she was a little fattier than me. I said no, she doesn’t look like me I look more pretty than her. Sameer said you both look like Priety Zanta, and I use to call her Priety. I said, I am more beautiful than your girlfriend and I don’t look like Priety Zanta. Sameer said ok, you will and we all are wrong.

The same day when I went to the hostel, I took a mirror and asked myself that do I look like Priety Zinta. I look very carefully and I also felt for the first time that I looked like Priety Zinta, especially when I smile and my dimple comes I look more like her. The next day I dressed like Priety Zinta and made hair like her and went to college. Many of my friends said I look beautiful and some compare me with Priety Zanta and now I also knew that I look like Priety Zanta. I was sitting in class with Priya, and Sameer came to class and saw me and stop at that moment. He was so mesmerized by my looks that when he started walking toward me, he missed the step in the sitting arrangement and fell. At that moment Priya commented its looks like he fell in your love. He got up and came near Priya and request Priya to change her seat as he wanted to sit with me. Priya went to the back bench and Sameer asked me, may I sit with you princess. I said it is a free country and you can sit anywhere where you want as long as you are not troubling anyone. Sameer asked am I troubling you. I hold Sameer's hand and said sit my baby. She was so happy, I don’t know why but in the whole class and even after it he was looking at me and even said a word. I said what happen why you are looking at me. He replied you look very beautiful like a princess. I said to concentrate on your study and let me concentrate on my studies.

A few weeks pass by and my relationship with Sameer grew stronger, though we were only friends, but the whole college consider us as a couple. One day I was sitting with Sameer, Priya, and other friends in the college garden and one hostel staff came to me and said your father is very serious and has been admitted to hospital and your mother is waiting for you on the hostel's phone. I ran to the hostel, and even Sameer and Priya ran behind me. I talked with mom and decided to go home for a few days, so I went to the college’s office and gave a leave application and asked Sameer if he could book train tickets for me by the time I back my bag. Sameer said no problem and went to the railway station. As I knew that there are two trains to my home one at 12:30 pm and another at 7:00 pm, I had told Sameer to book the tickets for 7 pm as it was already 1pm. I packed my bag and wait for Sameer but Sameer did not come till 5 pm. I was scared about what happen to him and why he is not coming? Priya said he might not have got a ticket. That’s why he is not coming. I called Sameer's home as his landline number was with me. Sameer’s mom pick up the phone and said Sameer had packed his bag and gone for some trip. I felt so helpless and ask Priya to accompany me to the railway station so that I can book a ticket and go home. Priya said ok and we came to the college main gate, there I saw Sameer getting out of a cab, he saw me and ran towards me and said somehow I manage to get a confirmed ticket for us. Let’s go otherwise we will be late. I said for us means? He said I am coming with you to see uncle. At that moment I felt love for him, but I said, there is no need for you to come. He replied I am not coming for your father, I am coming to see my uncle who became my friend in one day and it is my duty to help my friend. I hug Sameer for the first time and sit in a cab and reach the railway station.

Our train came at 7:00 pm and got the train and started our journey to Balangir my home town. I was scared but Sameer was there to comfort me. He order our dinner and after eating dinner he requested me to sleep, so I sleep but Sameer was awake. In the morning I saw Sameer was still sitting. I asked did you slept at night, and he said yes but his red eyes say some different story. So I ask him to go up and sleep. He said let’s take breakfast and then I will sleep. So we had our breakfast and he went to the upper berth to sleep. Sameer fell asleep, I saw him and pray to God to keep my father healthy and give Sameer as my husband. After two hours Sameer woke up and open his bag and took two mobile phones out of his bag. He gave me one phone and said call your dad. I did not hesitate and called my mom and she told me that my father's health is improving, so I don’t worry and come safely. I told mom that one of my friends is also coming with me and my father knows him well. Mom told to be safe and come. After that, I return the phone to Sameer but he said it is for me. He bought two phones, one for him and the other for me and these two phones have unlimited calling to each other as this was from the same telecom operator. I said I can’t take the phone but he said I gifted this to you home my heart and you are rejecting my gift. This line touches my heart, so I accepted the phone. 

We reached Balangir town by 9:00 pm, my uncle had come to receive me, and my uncle was surprised to see a boy with me. He asked who he is. I replied uncle I told mom that one of my friends is coming with me to see dad. Uncle said yes, your mom told me that one of your friends is coming with you but she didn’t tell me that your friend is a boy or your boyfriend is coming with you. I don’t want to give clarifications to my uncle as I want Sameer to be my boyfriend and future husband and even I knew that Sameer also loves me otherwise who come so long just to help a girl to see his father. So I just sit in the car and asked Sameer to come inside. Uncle took me to hospital as mom had told the uncle to bring me to hospital.

When my mother saw me, she cried and said your father’s RBC is decreasing and he needs blood but B negative blood is not available here because of which your father's condition is getting worse. The doctor had told us that they are trying their best to arrange blood; even they had asked us to look for blood. Sameer heard all the conversation and said aunty my blood group is B negative, so can I donate my blood to my uncle. My mom said who he is; I replied he is my friend who accompanied me from Pune to Balangir. My mom said your friend is a boy, and you came with a boy, what people will say about you. I said mom first let's consult the doctor if Sameer can give blood to dad. Then I took Sameer to a corner and said look you have just recovered from an incident and I don’t think it is good for you to donate blood. Sameer said that incident took almost four months back, so don’t worry about me, let’s ask the doctors. Sameer and I went to the doctor and describe the poison case, that happened with Sameer and ask can he donate blood. The doctor said we will do some tests and tell you. So Sameer went with the doctor for some tests and sometime later the doctor said they are ready to transfer the blood from Sameer to my father. So Sameer donated his blood to save my father, and in this time two people whom I love the most were in the hospital, so I pray to God to save both of them and keep them healthy.

Soon the blood transfer process was finished and my dad gain consciousness. Everyone was thankful to Sameer for donating his blood and when dad comes to know that Sameer had saved his life, he wanted to see Sameer. I called Sameer and bring him in front of dad. Dad hold Sameers’ hand and said how could I repay you, son, from today you are a part of our family as now we had blood relations.

The next day dad’s health improves and he was telling everyone how he meets with Sameer in Pune and how he helps him and how they watch a movie and eat dinner. My father also told everyone that his friendship with Sameer started in Pune and now I have a blood relationship. I was very happy to see that my father's health has improved and everyone accepted Sameer. This gives me a huge relief that at the time of marriage no one will oppose us.

Few days after my father got discharged from the hospital and came home. My father told me to go to college as he is perfectly fit now. So the next day Sameer and I book the ticket and went back to Pune. When we reach college my friends were happy to know that my father was healthy. Sameer spend some time with us and went to his home. Then Priya asked me, you took Sameer with you to your home, did anyone have doubt that you are in a relationship. I said yes, in starting my relative and my mom was asking why I came with a boy but as soon as Sameer donated his blood to save my father, everyone accepted him and my father gain consciousness he praised Sameer for the help he did in Pune and in Balangir. After listening to this Priya asked me, so when are you two getting married? I said, I want to marry him right now but the study is also important, so maybe after we get our first job. But first, let me tell Sameer that I love him. Priya said what? I thought you two would have sex by now and you are saying that Sameer doesn’t know that you love him. I told her that even I don’t know if he loves me or not, as he has also not expressed his love for me. Then Priya said what? What are you two doing? When will you propose to each other, don’t be too late otherwise things may turn different. I said, as I am a girl, I expect Sameer to propose to me first. So I am waiting for that day when he will propose to me, that day I will kiss him and express my love for him. Priya once again said do it as early as possible as you don’t know what will happen in the future. I asked Priya are you interested in him or what? Priya said yes from the starting when I came to know his story. I said Priya I will kill you if you came between Sameer and me. Priya said I am joking but how knows what may come between you two.

Months passed by but neither I nor Sameer proposed to each other. It was almost six months, and our half-yearly exam was about to start by the next day. So we were having group studies and in our group study, I use to help Sameer as I was the most brilliant student in our group. Whenever Sameer has any doubt he came to me and clears his doubt. He always use to say you are super Simran. But the next day went we just completed our exam Sameer come to me and said the exam was very easy for him thank you “Priety”. I just got confused about why he called me Preity, just because I look like Preity Zinta or because he is searching for his girlfriend in me as I have some similarities with her ex-girlfriend. I hold his hand and asked him, what did you say, you called me Preity. He replied no, or maybe I have as I use to tell the same to Preity after every exam and she use to say we will find it in the result. I asked him do you still miss her, he said she was my first love and people say first love doesn’t go from your heart till you die. This sentence breaks me from inside that Sameer still misses her. My eyes were filled with tears but I did not allow one drop of my tear to come out of my eyes to express my feeling at that moment. I said let's go and study for tomorrow's exam. Sameer asked me, how was your paper, I said very nice. He said but you are not looking happy. I said I have stressed about tomorrow's exam and he replied live in today, don’t take the stress of the future. I also want to say to him the same that life today and forget the past which gives you so much stress that you were on a stage to kill yourself, but I was unable to say anything as he was looking very happy. I was very stressed and because of this, my exam was affected.

After two weeks we got our result and I got a 69% mark which was not good for my career as I was targeting distinction which is a 75% plus mark. I was upset with my marks but at that time Sameer showed his marks to be which were 65% mark. He hugs me in the class as we use to sit together. He said the marks are because of your efforts. I said it’s your efforts that have helped to achieve this result, stop giving credit to others. He said why you are upset, I replied I miss the distinction. He said next time I will help you and you will surely achieve your goal. I laugh and said really, then the teacher shouted at us and said you two go out or stop behaving like love birds. Then one of the classmates said from behind, Madam they are love birds. Madam asked me really are you two in love, even though you are in love stop your love affair in the classroom. Do it outside of my class. Sameer stand up for me and said no madam we are just good friends and nothing else, we were only excited about our marks and because of that we talked, I am sorry for our behavior, we won’t talk in class. Madam said this is the last warning to you two, please take your sit. After hearing what Sameer said I was in though that does Sameer love me or not. I looked at Priya and Priya was also looking at me with surprise.

After the class was over I was sitting in the canteen and Priya asked me does Sameer ever propose to you. I said never. She said you two are together for six months and still no buddy proposed. I saw Sameer was coming toward us, so I asked Priya to change the topic, but Priya said let it be clear for once and for all whether he loves you or not. I requested Priya to change the topic and somehow she agreed. Then Sameer came and said sorry, because of me people are questioning your character. I don’t understand how anyone can think about us like that. You are so innocent and career focus girl, I don’t understand how anyone thinks about that for you. You are the best girl I ever met and I can never think of anything like that for you, once again I am sorry for the behavior of our classmate. He said if you say we can maintain little distance. I hold his hand and said no I don’t want to lose you because of the thinking of our classmate. I was very hurt from inside to hear this thing from Sameer. So, after a few minutes, I left Priya and Sameer in the canteen and went hostel. After reaching the hostel I cried a lot and took my dad's photo and hold it and pray to God to help me out in this situation. After one hour I made up my mind and said to myself that I will focus on my studies as this will make my parents happy and I will maintain a just friend relationship with Sameer. After few time Priya came into the room and said are you ok. I said my heart is broken today but somehow I manage and from now I will focus on my studies. I felt as if Priya wants to say something but at that moment I cried and slept in Priya's lap.

At night around 2 am my phone rang and I saw Sameer was calling. I looked at Priya but she was sleeping, so pick up the phone and talked slowly. Sameer said I am sorry for everything that has happened today. I said it’s not your fault and I don’t accuse you of anything. But Sameer said I was not strong enough to accept our relationship in front of all class, so I said that we are just friends. I said what do you mean? Sameer said he loves me very much and he knows that I love him too. He once again repeats that “I LOVE YOU SIMRAN, I LOVE YOU”. Before expressing my love for him, I said, you told me a few days back that you still love Preity your ex-girlfriend. Sameer replied that he said she was his first love and first love lives in one heart till one person dies and it does not mean that I don’t love you, I love you, and want to send my life with you. I asked what will happen if Preity came back to you, will leave me? Sameer said first of all she is not going to come back to me and even if she came back, I will be with you as she left me and you took care of me and stand by my side whenever I need you. Sameer said I always needed a girl just like you, so Simnar I LOVE YOU and want to marry you in the future, would you like to be my future wife. I was unable to control my feeling and I cried and said “I LOVE YOU SAMEER”, from the day you came with me to my home I Love You but I was unable to express it, so I never told you anything. Sameer said to keep expressing your feeling so that one can understand what you feel and can behave according to it. I replied what do you want to say? Sameer said if you had expressed your love for me then we would have been a couple long back. From 2 am to morning 6 am we talked like anything and were very happy.

I was waiting for Sameer to come to college, it was 9:30 am. Priya came and said what happened. I said Sameer proposed to me at night, Priya said I got the news as I heard your phone call when I got up to drink water at 4 am, but I did not want to disturb you two, so I drank water and went to sleep. Priya said, by the way, I am very happy for you, at last Sameer made up his mind and propose to you. I said what do you mean? Priya replied at last he understands that his ex-girlfriend is not coming back to him, so he took the right decision. I said what do you want to say that I am his second option or what? Priya wanted to say something but at that time Sameer came and I hug him tightly but Sameer seem to be a little shy. So I told him don’t be shy as now we are in a relationship, now you are my official boyfriend and as soon as we complete our studies, we will do our engagement, and marriage after getting a job, what do you say? Before Sameer could reply Priya said to hold no, you are just 21 years of age, try to know each other before committing to marriage. I replied, when there is love then there is no place for doubt, or if some problem comes in our relationship, I will solve the problem with our love. I said let's go to the canteen, today no class and after the canteen, we will go to a movie, what do you say Sameer? Again before Sameer could say anything Priya told to me, you two focus on your studies and the whole life is there to watch movies. I asked Priya, what happen to you, Why are you behaving like aunty and why you have become the spokesperson for Sameer, he can answer me directly. Sameer replied that Priya is right let's go to class and after class is over, we can go to watch a movie. I said as you say, my boyfriend. That day I was very happy, I hardly slept that night but after class we went for movie and then set in a beautiful garden and finally a beautiful dinner and then back to hostel as hotel close as 10:00 pm. I asked Sameer to look for some other accommodation for me as now I want to spend more time with you. Sameer said ok, I will search some room for you.

Few weeks passed by and Sameer and me always use to be together, and now Sameer was also very comfortable with me. One day Sameer said he has found an accommodation for me, but he said keep Priya with you in that room as to stay as single girl is not safe in any room. I said ok protective boyfriend, I will ask Priya for the same. We went to Priya and asked would you like to sift from hostel, as Sameer has searched for a beautiful accommodation near the college. Priya said ok not an issue, lets go and see the room. So we walked to the new room, it was hardly 1 km from the college. We reach there by walking for 15 minutes, Priya said from now onwards we have to walk 15 minute to reach college. Then Sameer said I will pick you both in morning and drop you after the class. I said that will be fun. Our flat was on fourth floor, so we took the lift and reached our flat, the house owner was Sameer’s friend father named Pravin, so he welcomed us to his flat, which was also in the same floor and we had coffee there and then Pravin uncle took us our flat, He said he has bought this flat for his son Ishant, so that when he gets married he can live here, but right now he started job in Government office as Administrative Executive. Uncle said we are searching for girls for him and hope that within next two years we will get him married. We loved the flat as it has a big balcony and from the balcony you can have a beautiful view of the city and even our college.

Few days later we shifted to the new flat of Praveen Uncle. Priya and I was happy with the flat, in few days we become friendly with Pravin Uncles family and use to watch movies and serials in Pravin uncles flat. Even Pravin uncles has no problem with Sameer coming to our flat as he consider him as his son and Ishant and Sameer were childhood friend. Ishand was 2 year elder than Sameer but from childhood they use to play cricket together, so they became friends. Few week passed and one day Priya said she likes Ishant. I said what a good news, if you marry him then your child with grew up in this flat only, tell your child my and Sameer’s love story. But Priya said I am scared my love to Ishant, as I don’t know about his past. I said no problem, I will take with Ishant. One day I asked Ishant that does he like Priya and Ishant said yes, I told him that Priya also like you. Soon I took both of them to a restaurant to have a chat. Both said thank you to me for helping them to start their love story but Ishant said don’t tell my father about this as he will tell it to his father at the right time.

Things went very smooth and it was time for our annual exam but the Lecturer said to submit your research topic to your group Lecturer as soon as possible as the annual exam was only four week away. I was thinking of what topic to choose, as I was very confuse, but surprisingly Sameer came to with me with his research topic and its hypothesis. I was surprised to see his research topic and hypothesis. I asked him how you did it. He replied that for starting he want to take up this research topic as till now no one had done such a research in his master degree. He was right as his research topic was “impact of internet on college going students” and till now no one has done such a research and in our college time internet was a very new thing for us and we have to go to cyber café to get access to internet and even their the internet speed was 150 kb per second which was consider to be very low speed but at that time people use to go to cyber café very offen and it was a good topic for the future. I said the topic is good for future as internet hardly impact students now a day. Sameer told that he has become internet addicted in last three years and even in this home he has internet connection and the student living near his society come to his house to search study materials and project papers. So he feels that internet is defiantly impacting students life even students use to search naked picture of adult film actresses. So Sameer said internet has some positive as well as negative impact on college going students. I was told convinced by his words, I said help me in searching a good research topic. Sameer said he had already search some alternative research topics and he suggested some topic to me and I choose one topic from it and asked if he had some hypothesis on the topic. Sameer replied yes, he has hypothesis of every topic. He said lets go to my home and we do some changes in the name of the topic and add your name in the research paper. So I went to Sameer’s home, it was my first time I was visiting Sameers’ house, I felt like I am visiting my in-laws house. Sameers’ mother treated me well and went to Sameers’ room as his computer was in his room. Sameer did the correction in the research paper and then we went to college and submitted our research topic and hypothesis.  

Soon our exam got over and I was ready to go to my home town but this time I was happy as well as sad, as I have to stay away from Sameer for 45 days. Sameer came to our room and help me and Priya in backing and then Sameer and Ishant took our luggage and went to parking area, there they kept the luggage in Sameers’ car and then give each other a tight hug and then Sameer drive the car to railway station and their Priya and me catch the train, this time we four were emotional. I said sameer that I will call you and message you every day. Then the train started and we left Sameer and Ishant in Railway station. As soon as train left station I started messaging Sameer and Priya started messaging Ishant. Priya got down at 4:30 pm in Raipur and I reached Balangir at 9:30 pm. I call Sameer and inform him that I reached safely. My father had come to pick me up, so I went with him to my home.

In the summer vacation I visited to every relative house. I was happy and all my relatives were also happy. This was the best vacation for me, at evening I use to call Sameer and in day time I use to message him. I was in love and because of which everything was feeling lovely. I felt like my home town was made of rose and I am rooming here and there. It was lovely but I want to go back and be with Sameer, but some time I feel I should bring Sameer to Balangir and we will stay here. I call Sameer and told him that, this vacation is the best vacation for me and it would have been great if you would been here. I suggest him how good it will be if we can get job in Balangir after our studies and we could stay together here. Sameer answer do you want me to stay in your home after marriage, Sameer said I will never go and stay in my wife house as it is against my moral ethics. This made me clear that Sameer is not going to stay in Balangi, so I have to do all the adjustment. I ask Sameer what if we buy a home here in Balangir. Sameer replied sorry he has no interested in that also as he has a family here in Pune and he have look after them. I said what if we bring your parents here. Sameer replied my parent will have to learn new language and new culture to adjust there, so he doesn’t want to trouble his parents. I said in anger, so the whole life I have to do the adjustment right. Sameer said no need to do that marry a boy from your home town and you with stay there with him. I got very upset and said ok, you also go to Priety and marry her and stay in Pune with your parents, if you think she can make your parent happy. Sameer got very upset hearing this and said yes, Priety is the perfect wife for me and a perfect daughter-in-law for my parents. I got upset hearing this and cut the phone.

For nest few days, neither I or nor Sameer called each other. One day Priya called me said how is life going. I told Priya about my fight with Sameer and that we are not talking with each other for days. Priya said if you quarrel with Sameer then time may come when Sameer will feels that Preity was the right girl for him. As their break up happen on the same topic as Priety want Sameer to come with her to Delhi and Sameer don’t want to leave his parent. So Priety told that if you give your parents more importance then me then stay with him and leave me. So Sameer and Priety broke up. Now you are doing the same, Priety is gone for two year only, think what will happen when Preity come and stay there in Pune and start his job there. Sameer will definitely go back to Preity as she is his first love. Priya continue speaking and said you have to put more effort in your relationship, so that your love success.  

This call for me made me think and change my whole concept of love. Before I thought that love is connection between two soles and no one can break it. But now I understand that no one dies without love there is always replacement available as I am the replacement of Priety and if things not work between Sameer and if Preity come back from Delhi then Priety will be the replacement of me. The world will not stop for anyone. So I understand my mistake that love is not life as shown in Bollywood movies but it is just a feeling which you can have for any person who can give you conform and your heart desires. Even I feel my love for Sameer when he came to help me to Balangir. My thinking process was totally changed, and now I thought    of adjusts with Sameer as I have spent almost one year with him and we hardly had any problem other then the location issue. So I called Sameer and said sorry for my behavior and said we will stay where you want us to stay. Still I felt Sameer was rood with me and said, if you can adjust with my parents then only we will have future together otherwise it is better to be just friends. I said very politely, is there something changed as I have never seen you talking with me like that. Sameer said, everything is ok, just he wanted to clear me that he will be always with his parents and he is there only son. I replied, then why did you drank poison to kill yourself, that time you did not though about your parents. Sameer became angry and said do you want to fight with me, he added that time it was very emotional as Preity was his first and last girlfriend and he had many dreams for her but as she left him he was unable to handle it any drank poison, but later I understand that the love which you get from your parents are much above the love which we get from any girlfriend and boyfriend. Parents love their children without any condition, whereas, in love affair it is always give and take relation. I said then why should I leave my parents who love me more than you do. Sameer replied, I never asked you to leave your parents; it is you who asked to settle in Balangir and leave my parents. So, I asked him, you don’t want to get married and settle? Sameer said lets be with each other as long as we can then we can think of all probabilities and then take decision. It is too early to be committed for marriage. I asked Sameer have Preity came back in your life? I just asked this and before Sameer can answer I ended the call.

Few days passed by I didn’t got any call or message from Sameer. So I called him and asked where are you? Do you miss me or not? Sameer replied, he misses you but for few days he was busy in my research paper, as he wants to finish the research paper in the summer vacation and submit it in the college and could concentrate on studies as this will the final year of education and after that he will search for job. So it is important to him to study hard to get a dream job in campus selection. I was amazed my his answer and said that you behave like a grownup person and you have become responsible. Sameer told, he always behave like a grownup person but it is with me he behave like child, as I like his childish behavior. Then I said oh my childish boy, don’t be so grownup person that you for get to call or message your love. Sameer said, in future thing will be like that only as soon as we get jobs we will be busy in our work and we will hardly get time to talk. I said how boring future is it, I will call you and message you every day doesn’t matter how much work I have. Then Sameer said he will try his best to make me happy. After that we talked for one hour and then we cut the call and got busy in our daily works.

I thought that long distance relationships are very difficult, as you don’t see and hear what your partner is doing and you think negatively and this negativity ruin the relationship. As Sameer is busy in research work and I thought that he is busy with his ex girlfriend. Still that feel of Sameer spending time with ex girlfriend was in my mind, so to clear my doubt I called Sameers’ house landline, his mother pick the call and I asked for Sameer, her mother said Sameer is studying, so would you like me to call him. I said no aunty I will call him later. So now I got sure that Sameer was busy in studying and I once again said long distance relationships are difficult to maintain. This time I go to college I will not leave Sameer or one minute.

I book my ticket in tatkal (a special service by Indian railways to book confirm tickets within 48 hours), as want to reach Pune before college open and even I could complete my research with Sameer. I did not inform Sameer that I was coming, I wanted to surprise him. So I took the train the next day and reach Pune by 7:00 am in the morning. I thought to call Sameer and go to washroom to get fresh, but I saw Sameer was sitting near the ladies restroom. I took my bag and went towards him slowly so that he cannot see me. But as soon as I reach near him, I saw Priety coming out of ladies washroom and hugging Sameer and then Sameer pick up Prietys’ bag and started walking towards another platform. I ran towards him, catch his hand and said so this is your research, you are doing research on your ex girlfriend. Before Sameer could say a words, Priety reply  now we are only friend and Sameer has come to say good bye to me as I am going to Delhi for my studies. Priety said she know about me and my relationship with Sameer and how the relationship started. Sameer made Preity stop speaking as if Preity know something that I don’t know. But I asked Priety what do you know about my relation with Sameer. Priety with anger said Sameer don’t love you, he is just acting as your boy friend as your friend Priya said you deeply love Sameer and you were very depress by the words when Sameer said he is just your friend. And it was Priya who told Sameer to tell you that he loves you as Priety am not going to come back in Sameer life. So you just came in Sameer life because of your friend Priya and at that time I was not with Sameer. I saw Sameer and said is this true. Do you love me or not. As we were speaking loudly and I started crying, people started to gather around us. So Sameer said we will talk later and hold Priety’s hand but Priety said be with me as in this time I need Sameer more than her. Priety took her and went to other platform. Sameer hold my hand and took to his car and took me to my flat.

At my flat I was in shock that Sameer love was just acting. He never love me, he is with me because Priya told that I love him deeply. After coming from railway station Sameer was using my washroom and I notice that it has been a while Sameer was inside the washroom. So I asked Sameer are you ok now so that we can clear things out. I heard from outside that Sameer was crying and vomiting inside. I open the washroom and saw Sameer vomiting and his tear were flowing out of his eye. My anger went away and I was concern about Sameer health. I went to Ishant flat and asked for help. Ishant and Praveen Uncle came and took Sameer out of the washroom. Then Praveen uncle asked me what the mater? I told half lie and half truth, that Sameer pick me up from the railway station and we came to flat and he started vomiting. Praveen uncle said it might be a case of food poisoning, as Sameer might have eaten something in railway station. Sameer was unconscious, so we took him to a nearby hospital. The doctor admitted Sameer in ward and keep Sameer under observation.

Sameer gain consciousness after two hour, so I told nurse about it and the doctor and nurse went into Sameers’ ward and ask everyone to go out. The doctor talked with Sameer and come out of Sameers’ ward and said it was just an anxiety attack, so need to worry and you can take Sameer back to home after two hours. Praveen uncle asked what anxiety attack is. The Doctor replied some people have such that whenever they face extreme emotion such as anger, happiness or nervousness they get such attack. Praveen uncle told us that it might be that Sameer was too happy to see you that he got this anxiety attack. But I know the reality was far different than what Praveen uncle thinks. After two hour Praveen uncle said Ishant will drop Sameer at his house and Praveen uncle and I will walk back to home. So Ishant took Sameer in Sameers’ car and went to his house.

While Praveen uncle and I were walking towards our flat, Praveen uncle ask do you love Sameer or does Sameer love you. As I know the reality of my relation with Sameer, I told uncle that we are just good friend. He help me when I need and I help him when he needs me. Praveen uncle said that good, as he was thinking of getting a daughter in-law like me for Ishant. I said Priya is just like me and I think she is good candidate for your son. But uncle said ya, she is also a good girl but from the day I saw you, thought of making you as my daughter in-law. He continues speaking and said Ishant has Government Job and he earn good and he will keep you happy. I said I need time to think about that as I have one year of education left. Uncle told that he is in no hurry; he will wait for my answer. I said but uncle first talk with Ishant about the same. Uncle said I will do it today only.

In evening Sameer came to my flat and said sorry, he wanted to tell me everything before but was unable to tell me as he don’t want to hurt me. I said I was very stupid that I was unable to understand that you were just playing with my emotion. Sameer said, he never intended to hurt me, he just said I love you out of sympathy towards me and my feels for him. I said it would have been better if you have rejected my love that time as it might not have hurt me so much as it is hurting me now. I said, I came early from summer vacation because of you and to be with you. Now I feel I should have never met you, you are the worse person I have ever met in my life. I asked him to leave my flat right now and said from now onwards we not even friend with each other. Sameer once again said sorry and went out of my flat.

The next day, I thought that Sameer has lots of my photos as Sameer use to take a camera with him wherever we go for fun, movie or picnic. So I did not want Sameer to keep any of my memories, so I went to Sameer house and ask for all my photos. Sameer gave all the photo albums in which my photos were kept. I took all my photos from Sameer and said this is a formal ending to our relationship. I came to my flat and cut Sameers’ photos out of my photos and throw it in dustbin and said to myself no more love affair only focus on studies.

In evening I went to Ishant flats and saw Ishant has came back from his office. I said Ishant can you help me in my research, as he has also passed his masters from our college. Praveen uncle heard that and said, daughter you go to your flat I am sending him with him books and laptop. So, I went to my flat and waited for Ishant, after half an hour Ishant came to my flat and ask me to show my research paper. I showed him my research paper and after that he bring some more books and started helping me. It was 9 pm so Ishant mother came to ask Ishant for food she also forced to have dinner with them. So I went and took dinner with them, while coming back Ishant to that after office he will come and help me in my research. I said thank you to all and came to my flat and slept. 

Next day I worked on my research and when I locked my flat to go for lunch, at that time Ishant mother asked me where I was going. I replied I am going to have my lunch. Ishant mother said to have lunch with them, so I took my lunch Ishants’ house and I praised the food item made by Isahnt mother. Ishants’ mother said it is a famus Marathi dish, she took me to kitchen and explain me how it is made. Within few minute I become friend with Ishants’ mother. We talked a lot about my college and about the days when Ishants’ mother was young. After that I am Ishants’ mother watch some TV serials and then I said now I have to go as I have work on my research paper. Ishants’ Mother said he will send Ishant to help me. I said ok and went to my flat.

In evening, Ishant came to my flat and lets complete the research work. I said ok then we studied for half hour and then Ishant told me that his father wants to make me his wife, I told that I know about it. Then Ishant said what you think about becoming my wife. I replied you are my friend Priyas’ boyfriend and I know about your love story and it was I who started your conversation with Priya, so how can I think of you as my husband. Ishant said from starting he likes me but as I was with Sameer as his girlfriend, so he step back and As he want to stay near me so he said yes to Priya as Priya is my roommate and he can stay close to me and take care of me. Ishant also told that as he was taking Sameer home from hospital, he asked Sameer about his anxiety attack and Sameer explain how he was trapped between me and Priety and he wants to be with Priety as she is Sameer first love. I asked said so you know that my relationship with Sameer is over and that’s the reason he is coming close to me. Ishant replied no, I know you are hurt as your relationship with Sameer has ended in an unpleasant note. But it was his father (Praveen uncle) who told him that they want to make me his wife and I have said to get you confirmation first. So Ishant said this gave a thought that I may like him. After saying this Ishant came close to my lips and said if I had feeling for him then just kiss his lips, no need to say I love you. The situation was very intense as Ishant has held my waist and his hand was starting to move upwards. So I push Ishant and said please behave properly, I have not given him permission to touch me. Ishant said in love all this is common, so don’t be shy. I said if you don’t stop then I will tell Praveen uncle about this and our friendship will end now. So I push me once again and Ishant left my flat and went to his flat.

The next morning I went to Sameer and told him everything that happened last evening. Sameer said boys are like that only and they will try to use me without even asking my consent. I said to Sameer that you have never done anything to me without my consent. Sameer said every boy is not like him that they will ask for my consent, they will just want to take the benefit of the situation. I said to Sameer that I fell lonely and scare now as Priya has not came till now and Priya may take one more week to come. Sameer said I can stay in their guest room till Priya came back to flat, if I have faith on him. I said after the railway station incident, I don’t trust him but now he is the safest option for me. So Sameer asked his mother to open the guest room and said due to some problem I will stay there for one week. Sameer mother open the guest room for me. I and Sameer went to my flat to collect few cloths and few books especially my research note and came back to Sameers’ guest room.

It was very awkward to be in the house of my ex boyfriend how has cheated on me before few days. But now my safety was the main concern for me, till Priya does not arrives in Pune I will better stay in Sameer house and by the way I can do my research with the help of Sameer and I am confident that he will never cross the line of friendship. The next day I went to Sameer and ask for some help in preparing questioner for the research and even I ask him about the coding of answer that will come from the survey due the field visit for research. Sameer explain the coding in such a simple way that I though, research is not that difficult as I was thinking. In six days we completed almost all the tools that are require to test our hypothesis during the field visit. Even in these six days I once again become friend with Sameer and even Sameer mother loved me a lot. In my free time I use to talk with her.

After a week from the day of my arrival in Pune, I received a call from Priya, she asked me when am I. She was unaware about what all had happen in my life in the last week. So I talked normally and said I am staying in Sameers’ house as I was feeling lonely in flat. Priya told did you two got married or what? I said no, I am just using Sameers’ guest room with the permission of Sameers’ parents. Priya said I am so excited that you are living in your in-laws house. I replied her Priety has come back in Sameers’ life and my relationship with Sameer has come to an end. Priya said what? Then what are I doing there. Priya said she is coming to pick me up and then we will go to our flat. I said Priya, I know that you forced Sameer to propose me, he never loved me, all he was doing was acting so that my feeling for him doesn’t get hurt. In last week many things has happen to me, I will tell you everything after we meet. Priya said I am really sorry that this has happen to you because of me. She said she is coming to pick me up. After half an hour Priya came and we went back to our flat.

After reaching the flat, I told Priya what had happen to me, the whole incident that happen to me at railway station, then Praveen uncle proposal and Ishant behavior. Priya was so upset hearing all this that she went to Praveen uncle and said to Praveen uncle what you think of us, your son first came to me and said he loves me and now he has tried to molest my friend. Priya said thanks Simran that she had not launched a cause against you, if something like this had happened to me then I would had send you all to jail. Praveen uncle asked me did Ishant ever touch me. I said yes, even he tried to kiss me. Uncle called Ishant from room and said what you have done with Simran. Ishant said nothing, I just talk that is she interested in becoming my wife, as dad you suggested me to marry her. Praveen uncle said yes, he want to make Simran his daughter in-law only if she wants to be and not by force. Ishant said sorry, he lost his control at just one moment and he is sorry for that. Praveen uncle slap him. Once again Praveen uncle said and what is your relationship with this girl named Priya. Ishant told that Priya loved him and so he started dating her but he never love Priya. Priya went to Ishant and slap him and said if don’t love me then what are you doing with me and why you slept with me. Ishant said stop this topic, it was just an accident. Priya replied and said accident happens only once but your accident happen every week and even twice a week right. Praveen uncle said what I am listening, I though my son was a noble person like film hero but in real life he is a villain. Praveen uncle said to us daughters I am sorry for Ishant behavior and I ask you to leave our flat as it is not safe for you to stay here. Priya said don’t worry we will shift to hostel tomorrow.

The next morning we went to warden and said can we stay in hostel, but warden said there is no room available right now. So I called Sameer and asked for his suggestion. Sameer said he is coming to us to help us. Priya said why are you talking to Sameer he has just left you for Priety, don’t it hurts you. I said its hurts a lot but you also know that Sameer never loved me, he always behaved live a friend and it was you who took my relationship with Sameer in different direction, it was you who forced Sameer to propose me and I will never forgive you to ruin my life. Priya said she did all this because she cares for me and my feels for Sameer, she just wants to see me happy with Sameer. I said I was happy but now my life has become pathetic. I said from now onwards please don’t think of my happiness just leave me on my situation. Priya said sorry as she knows what a big mistake she had made.

After some time Sameer came to us and said what’s the problem. I was warden said that there is no room in hostel. So Sameer talked to the warden and said they are in deep trouble and they need hostel badly. Wardern sade that there are rooms but the warden had alredy given the list of vacant room to the principal and if she give them a room then she had to submit a new proposal for the vacant room for the fresher. Sameer said he will help her in submitting the proposal and even he will talked to the principal. So the warden took us to the college principal and describes the situation. The warden told that we need a room badly, the principal said give them a room and send the new requirement for the vacant room for the fresher. So, at last we go the hostel room and we were very happy. In evening we shifted to hostel and give the flat keys to Praveen uncle.

After few days I submitted my research questioner to my lecturer. My lecturer was very happy with the questioner and said I and very happy with only two questioners, one is yours and other is Sameers. So I asked permission to do the field visit to verify my hypothesis. But Lecturer said no first concentrate on the cultural program which is being orgained by the college for the welcome of the freshers. I said cultural program for fresher but in our time we were not welcomed through any cultural program. Lecturer said that time he was not the in charge of cultural activities but this time he want to make it grand. He ask me to participate in cultural activities especially on fashion show. He said you look pretty, so participate in the fashion show. He said me to meet Sameer as he is coordinating with students for the cultural program. By that time Sameer enrty the room and said here is the list of activities that we can arrange in the cultural event. Lecturer said use Simnar in some of these activities as she is interested. Sameer said ok sir, I will ask her how she can contribute. Then I left the Lecturer room.

Sameer came to me and said are you interested in cultural activities. I said yes, I can do dancing, singing and Sir told me to participate fashion show. Sameer replied he will put my name in group dance and group singing as solo dance and singing is not allowed, even he said he will put my name for fashion show. The next day I came to practice for the cultural program. In the cultural room I saw my friend already practicing for dance. I came in and ask what is my position, the dance choreographer said come with your partner as in the dance a girl has to dance with a boy and they have four pair of boy and girls already there. I said I have no partner. The choreographer said then you can’t dance. Then I though what to do. I thought to convince Sameer to be dance partner. So I went to him, I saw him writing script for the play which was to be perform in the cultural event. I asked him can he become my dance partner. Sameer replied no, as he was working on the script for the play. I said I will help you in that but first become my dance partner. He again said no, he can’t west time as he have to submit the script to sir by evening. I said in real life we could not become partner but can we become at least dance partner. Sameer got emotional and said don’t do this to me again and said yes lets go for dance but you have to help me in script. I said yes and went for dance practice. I said to the choreographer here is my dance partner. Then all the girls said when we ask you for dance then you told you don’t want to west you time on dance and you said yes to her, is she special to you. I was eager to hear Sameer answer. Sameer replied yes she is very special to me and I will do whatever I can do to make her happy. Then everyone shouted ohhhhhhh, and choreographer said guys stop it, let’s focus on dance and he allows me to dance with Sameer.

After the dance practice I help Sameer in the script and then we went to Lecturer room and submitted the script. Lecturer saw me and said to Sameer and said now you have an assistant with you. Sameer said I help him in script. Lecturer said ok I will go through the script and from tomorrow we will start rehearsal for the play. Lecturer said includes Simnar in the play. Sameer replied she has already participated in singing, dancing and fashion show, so how can she give time to play. Lecturer said she has help you in script means she know the script so it will be easy for us to act with her. Lecturer asked me are you interested to play the heroin role in the play. I asked sir how is the hero in play. Lecturer said Sameer is the hero. I replied ok I am ready. Lecturer said that’s the sprit, we will practice when Simran is free after the college hours. We agree with Lecturer.

Sameer and I came out of the Lecturer room, Sameer hold my hand and said are you not feeling awkward as I was your boyfriend and now ex boyfriend. How will you manage you emotion and frustration for me. I said, I was angry on you but still you help me in each and every situation, so my anger and frustration go very far away from me. And you are so sweet that I can’t stop loving you but that my problem. And I know you will help me in this problem also. So I want to spend time with you as I know I will not see you again after the college are over. And at last I said you are my special friend and I will do anything to keep you happy. Sameer said my dialog on me. I said learning to be like you, my special friend. Sameer came till girls hostel gate and I said can I call him in night. He said ok but in night he use to talk with Priety but he will manage. I said I am not a trouble for you, if you like to talk then just give me a miss call. Then Sameer said ok, for now good night, let me see what the nigh has for us. He waves his hand and said take care my special friend. The warden listen what Sameer said to me. The warden came to me and said what going on. I said nothing. Warden told me that Sameer girlfriend came back in Sameer life so don’t interfere in their love story. I said I already met her girlfriend and now I am just a friend. Then warden said why he call you special friend, I told warden that we are acting a play in the cultural program and it is just a dialog of the play. Warden said ok, now go to your room.

In night I waited from Sameer miss call but he didn’t call and I slept. In the morning at 7 am I wake up and went to bathroom and after completing my bath, I came back to my room and got dressed and pick up my phone to call my dad. I saw that Sameer had given a miss call at night around 2 am. So I called Sameer, Sameer pick up the call and said good morning my special friend. I said good morning, I asked why you give miss call. Sameer said he told about our new start to his girlfriend and she was happy to know about it that you have forgive me and we have given a fresh start our friendship, so he want to share it with me, so he called. I said got sleep early so; I was unable to pick his call. Sameer said it’s ok, let’s meet in college and talk about it, he reminds me that I had to do lots of actives today. I said lets meet in college and put the phone and went to canteen to have my breakfast.

At college class room me and Priya were sitting on the second bench of the third row. At that time Sameer came and asked Priya to go back as he has to talk with me. So, Priya went back and Sameer sit by my side as he uses to sit in our first year of college. Sameer talk with me about the script of the play and we exchange some dialog of the script before the Lecturer came to take the class. After the class got over Priya came to me and asked what going on, again in love with same boy. I said I love Sameer but now we have given our relationship a new name “special friend”. Priya asked what that mean. I replied more than a friend but not lovers. Priya said your relationship is very complicated. She also added remember what Shahruk khan has said one boy and one girl can’t be friend for long as there friendship convert in love. I said but our case is totally opposite, as our love converted into friendship.

After the class go over we went for the rehearsal for the cultural activities and because of me the rehearsal of the play use to happen after 6 pm. For one week things went like this and the day of cultural activities came. In the cultural program Sameer and I was the anchor. First Sameer announce that my anchor and her group are coming for singing. So I went back stage and came with my group to sing. Our group sang well and we get appreciated by the students. Just after that was the dance program. So I quickly changed the cloth and came back with the dance group and danced. After that there were two more dance by other group and then there was fashion show and for that I change my clothes and came back on stage. After that there were few more programs and at last was our play. The play was base on the story of Romeo and Juliet, but some twise and turn, in this play I was playing the character of Juliet and Sameer was playing the role of Romeo. During the play I change few of my dialogs to give the play a realist feeling and did not tell anyone about it, not even the Lecturer. When the play was going to end and Romeo is about to die he said Juliet I love you and I am giving my life in our love. Then I enter the stage and said Romeo (Sameer) you always said that you love me but there was always another girl in your life. After hearing this dialog Priya whistle and clap. Sameer slowly said what are saying. I said slowly the Lecturer said to improvise and give a different end to the play that why I have change my dialog. Sameer asked then what I should say. I said say what every come out of your heart. Romeo (Sameer) said loudly I always said I love you but before you there was one girl whom I loved much and left me and I see her in you so I started loving you. Juliet (Simaran) gets up and said you don’t love me you still love the girl who came in your life before me. People started whistling and clapping on our each and every dialog, which motivated to extend the play a little more. Romeo (Sameer) said yes but you have the most high place in my heart. Juliet (Simran) said and what is that place called which is greater the love. Rome (Sameer) said you are my special friend. Our dance group who was sitting on the second row understand the meaning of special friend and said “oh that is why she is her special friend.” All the students of our dance group chanted “special friend, special friend, and special friend”. Juliet (Simran) said as the whole college now knows that I am not your love and just a special friend. Then stop acting as you are dying for me. Romeo (Sameer) said as the college now knows that we are not in love, no one will question our special friendship, Juliet I was unable to live with you but I want to die in your lap. Juliet (Sminar) took Romeo (Sameer) head on his lap and said if you had being true to one girl than our ending would have been different. Romeo (Sameer) said in next life I will be your and only yours. Romeo and Juliet hold each other hands and die and the play ended.

The Lecturer came to the stage and said you would have never seen such a Romeo who loved two girls at one time. The crow especially boys said one is special friend and other is his love. The Lecturer said ok, but if play with two girls in life then the ending will be like this so be true to one girl on but not now after college is over. Now just focus on your studies and set your career on the right path. Then the Lecturer said we are going to award the best performers in the cultural program. Many students got awards and even Sameer also got award as best anchor, but I did not get any awards. But at last the Lecturer said we have distributed awards in different categories such as dance, song, acting, anchoring and other but now we have a special award for a special friend who contributed in almost all the categories especially in play and made the play very interesting, so you have any guest who is he or she. Everyone in the crow said special friend (Juliet). The Lecturer said yes you all are right the special award for Gems of the cultural program goes to our special friend and Juilet miss Simran. Everybody clap on my entry and in the entire award reviving time. I was very happy and now I was most popular girl in the college. Now I was the special friend of the whole college as everyone use to call me special friend instead of calling me by my name. Even almost every day I use to receive love proposal from boys of my college, even my junior propose me but I refuse them and say now I am focusing on my studies and after I get job and you can wait for me then you can propose me at that time.

 One day one junior came to me said I know why you are not accepting my love, as you still love your Romeo (Sameer) who left you for such a girl who never care for him. He said he understand my value and he promise to be with me till he died. He said if you say I can die for you right now. I slap him and said never say that you will die for me or any other girl as your mom and dad has so many expectations from you and they love you more than any girl that may come in your life. The boy cried and said doesn’t go away from me as I can’t live without you. I said that was just a play in which I was a good girl but in reality you don’t know me. So don’t me desperate about me or any other girl, first understand the girl then take decision. But the boy said you are my first love and like Romeo you will be in my heart. I just ran way from there to hostel.

In hostel I was thinking about the boy and his behavior. I thought so much about him that I feel that he will also drink poison for me and might die. I was so nervous that I felt unconscious. Priya called Warden and Sameer and told that I am unconscious. Sameer ran to the hostel, even he enter the girls hostel as the warden was not in the first room to stop him. Sameer came to my room and said what happened, the warden said what are you doing here, this is girls’ hostel and boys are not allowed here. Sameer said sorry and pick me up in his arms and went towards his car. The boy who proposed me saw that I am unconscious and sameer is taking me to car. He also ran towards me said what the matter. Sameer said nothing just taking her to hospital. Sameer put me in his car and close the door. The boy said to Sameer if you have done anything wrong with her then I am going to kill you. Sameer push him and said I have no time for you, he close the cars’ door and took me to the nearby hospital. The boy ran behind the car and reached the hospital. Doctor did my check up and said she might be tensed about something and because of which she got unconscious. The boy heard what the doctor said and understood that it was not Sameer but it was he who was the reason for my condition.

After few hours I gain consciousness and said Sameer. Sameer said I am here only, I explain him what happen in the college and how I got unconscious. I said the boy reminds me about you as you had also drank poison for Priety, so I got very tensed. Sameer said that boy is here only and he might be listening you words. Sameer called the boy; the boy came in and said sorry, he did not knew that such an incident had already happened with Sameer. He said he will never trouble me and always be a friend until I feel something for him. Even he will stay away from Sameer and my relationship. Sameer hug him and said in our age these things happen and later we understand how stupid we were. The boy said to Sameer, from now you are my big brother. I was in hospital for one day and the next day I got discharge from the hospital and went to hostel. Warden told Sameer and the entire girl that no one will tell that Sameer came inside the hostel; otherwise it would be bad for all of us. Even she told sameer not to repeat this incident of coming into the girls’ hostel. Sameer said sorry and went for class in college.

Next day I went to college and asked our Research Lecturer permit for field visit for verify my hypothesis for my research. So Lecturer gave be permission but ask me to take a student with me especially boy as my research was on migrant labour. Lecturer said that area is not safe of a girl to go alone and do research, so better go with a boy. I said, I will go with Sameer, Lecturer said no problem but just report me every day, so that I can get the update. I said yes, sir and went out of his office.

I search Sameer but could not find him in college, so I called me on his mobile phone. I asked, where are you? He said he is on school visit to complete his research as his research is on students so he has visited class 11 student in a nearby school. I asked can I join you and from there can we go to the migrant labour area to complete my research. Sameer said ok you can come I will be in school for another one hour. I took auto and reach the school in just 15 minutes and showed the security guard my college id and said I have came here for research and my batch mate is already in class 11. The Security guard said you are with Sameer? I said yes. The Security guard said go straight and then left. I went to class room and saw Sameer was singing inform of the students and the student were listening him silently. Then one of the student said Sameer sir, your girlfriend has came. Sameer saw me and said come inside and he introduce me to the class. He said this is Simran Maam and she is also doing a research on migrant labour, so does anyone live near that area. One boy said sir our security guard is from that area, you can ask him for help. Sameer said thank you to that boy. Another boy stood up and said sir your girlfriend is very beautiful. Sameer said she is not my girlfriend, as to have her as girlfriend you need to be lucky and I am not so lucky. One girl stood up and asked me why you don’t love our Sameer sir, he is good looking, handsome and a good singer. I replied I am ready to accept your sir love but your sir love some other girl, who just look like me. The girl asked Sameer, sir you have another girlfriend. Sameer said yes but this is a top secrete don’t tell anyone and now finish the questioner that I gave to you. I and Sameer make student understand the question and answer properly. The students completed the answer within the time given to us by the school.

After completing the work at school we went to the security guard and said we need your help as we are going to your area for some research. The security guard said wait for half an hour as the school is about to close and his duty time will be over and we can go to our area together. We waited there for half an hour. I asked how many more people you will include in the target audience. He said he has cover 120 students in last two days and that enough for his research. So I asked shall I also take 120 individual as target audience, Sameer said his audience is easy to get as in a class there are more than 40 students so he has to just visit 3 class to get his target audience and within 2 hours I get all my answer but my case is different as we have to spend at least 15 min with each candidate as they might not be educated and we have to explain each of them the question and then we have to right the answer by our self. I said oh my God means if we take 120 candidate as sample then 120 multiply by 15 minute equal to 1800 minutes which means 30 hours. Which means if I give two hour daily then also it will take 15 days to just fill the questioner. Sameer said let’s see how many we can finished today. While we were talking the security guard came and said follow my cycle. I sit on Sameer bike and follow the security guard and with in 15 minute we reach the area of migrant labour.

I start the question with the security guard itself, I came to know that no one was able to read English questions, so Sameer and I said asking people the question separately so that we can cover more people. We were nearby only as I was scared by the words of Lecturer about that area. In one and half hour I finished 9 candidates, where as Sameer has completed 15 candidates. I asked Sameer, are you filling the forms properly or just ticking the answer by yourself. He said doing research is the job of my left hand and I can fill questioner even closing my eye and that the reason he is so fast. I was very happy that today we finished 24 questioners. I asked Sameer to come with me tomorrow also; he said ok, I will be with you as long as you want. I said I want you to be with me for lifelong but I know that I have less than a year with you. Sameer said we can visit each other after college also if I travel to Pune even after college also. I said I will see what the future had kept for us. Then Sameer drop me in college campus and went to his home.

Like this we went to the migrant labour area for six more days and finished my 120 questioners and submitted it to our research Lecturer. The Lecturer said very good, now do the coding for the questioner and he explain how to do it but it was very complicated. So I called Sameer after coming out of the Lecturer room and said I need your help in coding. Sameer came to me and collected all my research papers and questioners from me and said don’t disturbed me for one week. So for next one week I just went to college and did my class and came back to hostel.

After one week I called Sameer and said is my coding over. Sameer said yes but this time he want party as he has work hard for my research. I said then when are you giving my coding. Sameer said I had a surprise for you came to college campus gate by 6 pm. I went to college campus gate at 6 pm and Sameer came there after few minute with his dad’s car. He asked me to come in. But I said where is my coding, he said, I will give you just come inside. He took me to a printing press and asks the owner if his material is ready. The owner said yes it ready and bring two big brown envelop with him and give it to Sameer. Sameer settle the bill and asked me to take the envelop in which my name is written. I saw that one envelop had my name and the other has Sameer name. I said what is this? Sameer reply open it in car. So we took both the envelop to the car I open my envelop and open it inside the car. I saw Sameer has completed my whole research and printed the research and gave it a look of research book. It look lovely and he had printed three research book for me and three for him. I was amaze to see my research book ready in my hand. I asked him why you printed 3 copies. Sameer said one copy for you, one copy for the Lecturer and another copy is to be put in Library for other student to study it. I said Sameer you are expert in research, I said you will become researcher in future. I said as I had not made this research by myself then how can I know what tools were use to make this research and in viva it will create negative impact on my marks. Sameer said don’t worry, he bring another cover from the backside of the car and said in this cover I had put all the research papers, tool and method that were use during the research so you don’t need to worry. I was so happy that I hug him and kiss him in his forehead.

Then we went for a long drive and we went outside of the city. There eat food in beautiful hotel and a lot drank beer. It was my first time that I drink beer in my life; it was very bad in test so, I said Sameer to order such a drink which would not be so bad in test, so he order white mischief (Vodka). He mixes the white mischief with cold drink and offer to me. I tested it and said this test much better then beer.  So I drank the whole bottle of white mischief and eat food. After eating food I said I will pay the bill. Sameer said ok not an issue. I paid the bill and after that I don’t remember what happened to me that night, as I lose consciousness and I woke up in a room. I look at my wrist watch it was pointing 12:15. I thought it is 12 in night now and we have not reached hostel. I was scared as the hostel gate would close by 10 pm. I went to the window of the room and remove the curtains. I was shock what I saw outside.  It was day which means it was 12:15 pm. Then I search for Sameer but sameer was not in room. I went to bathroom if Sameer was inside. I know the door of the washroom and the washroom door opened and I saw Sameer was taking shower but he was not wearing any cloth. I said sorry and said why are not wearing any cloth, Sameer said who wear cloth while bathing and the door is not closing properly. I close the door and came to bed. I thought I will not get such a chance to see Sameer naked and at that point of time I did not though of Priety and Sameer relationship, as I still had the hangover of vodka. So I remove my cloths and went inside the bathroom. Sameer said what are doing. I said the thing which I should have done before. I hold him and even he could not control his feeling and we had a very nice time there and we came back from the hostel at 9: 30 pm. Sameer dropped me at college campus and I took my research book and all other paper related to my reach and went to hostel.

When I reached the room Priya asked me where was I last night. I told him lie that I was working in Sameer house and we complete my research. I showed him my research book, and she was amaze to see that my research is complete. Priya told that as my research is complete now I have to help her in her in completing her research.  I told her that I will help her. Priya took one research book and started studying it. I told him that read it properly and tell me if you have and doubt or if you feel something is wrong. Priya said I am not your Lecturer to guide you, but if you insist then I will guide you if I find any mistake. I told her that you madam. She studied few pages of my research and told that this is a perfect research and she can’t find any mistake. This gave me more confidence to show it to my research Lecturer.

The next day I went to my research Lecturer and showed him my research paper and he was very happy to see my research. He said you are the first student in the college to submit the research paper. I asked him did Sameer submit his research paper. He said not yet, but why are you asking about him? I told that I saw his book in the printing press, yesterday. So I thought he might have submitted his research before me. Sir, said that good that two of my research students have completed their research. He asked me to submit all three books there as he was to check. So I kept all three research book there and went out of the Lecturer room.

When I was going to class room, I saw Sameer, and heart started beating faster as now I had emotional and plus physical attraction towards him. I said where your research book is. He said it is in his bag. I said ok, I just asked sir about your research book and he said you have not submitted. Sameer said why you asked about it, he might think how you know about my research book. I said I told him that I saw you book at printing press, so I asked for it. Sameer said wow you are genius and hug me. As no one was see us as they was no one in the corridor, so I hug him tightly and kissed him in his lips. He said stop, someone can see us will doing this. I said I don’t care as I am with you and you can handle any situation. Sameer said thank you and said now can you allow me to go to Lecturer room to submit the research book. I said go and comeback quickly, I am waiting for you here.

Sameer came back to me in just five minutes and said Lecturer is calling you. I asked why is he calling me. Sameer said I don’t know he took my research book and said call Simnar. So I came to call you. We went to Lecturer room and I said sir what happened. The Lecturer said you two completed your research together or what. I said I took Sameers’ help in field visit as per your instruction. Lectuerer said ok, but why don’t you took another help, why Sameer. I said sir I ask for help from other student but no one help me, so I went to Sameer. Lecturer asked Sameer why did you help her. Sameer thaught for few second and said sir you know that she is my special friend my Juliet, so as a Romea, I help her. Lecturer said tell me the truths are you both in love as I am noticing you are always together. Sameer said, sir as you said on stage that we should do love affair after our college is finished, so right now we are friends only. Lecturer said he was just pulling our legs and not to take it seriously. Lecturer said collect your research book from me after a week, as he is going to study it. Lecturer said to us “best of luck my Romea and Juliet”. We left Lecturer room and went to class.

I was happy, as Sameer has come closer to me once again. We use to sit together in class and eat together in canteen and even we use to stay together till 9 pm. We study together, watch movie together, roam around the city together, we eat together and even we use to have sex whenever Sameer was alone in his house, as her mother use to go to her relative house for hours, even we use to book hotel to spend time together. Time was going very fast and it seems like Sameer has forgot Priety as he was very happy with me. But he never proposes me or neither had I forced him to propose me as we were happy with our relationship tag of special friend.

One day Sameer got a call from her mother that she is going out to her relative house and we come back at 7pm. Sameer told me that it is 3 pm now so we have 4 hour to have fun. So Sameer took me to his home and we remove our cloths and just went to bed and that time the door bell rang. So we got nervous, Sameer told me to were clothes, but there was no time to wear all clothes. So I wear my top and jeans only and hide my underwear under Sameer bed. Sameer also wear his cloth and went to open the door and said me to use computer. So, I started the computer in Sameer room and Sameer open the door and saw his mother. Her mother said why it took so long for you to open the door. He said he was listening music and because of which he was unable to hear the first few door bell rings. Sameer mother came inside and saw me. I heard what every Sameer said to her mother and prepare my answer accordingly and by the time Sameer mother came in I open my research folder which was on Sameer computer desktop. Sameers’ mother said what I am doing here. I said to his mother, I was just passing by here, so I thought to meet you and collect my research paper which was in Sameer computer, as Sameer had help me in coding. His mother said ok and remembers that I stayed here for few days. She asked me did I get new flat to stay. I replied now I am staying in hostel as rooms are not safe for girls. Her mother replied true and said finish your work and we will go together, as she is going by our college so she will drop me. I said it will take few minute and I took few printouts from Sameer computer and went with his mother. His mother dropped me in college and went to his relative house. As soon as I reached hostel I called Sameer and told him that my lingerie are under his pillow, so collect it and put it in his bag. He said he had already done that. This was the only incident in which we were almost caught by someone. Things went very smoothly and I and Sameer became very close once again.

Few months passes away and the winter vacation was announced and most of the students went to home but I thought to stay back in hostel and study, as during this time there won’t be much disturbance. So I did not went to my home and explain why I am not coming home in winter vacation. So I focused on studies and whole day I use to study in my room and in night I use to chat with Sameer if his parents are awake and sometime we use to call, when his parents fell asleep. As he does not want to make his parents know about our relationship. Even I can say my relationship with Sameer was not more than friendship as he or I never propose each other after his girlfriend came back in his life. So we were friends with some more physical benefits.

One night I send message to Sameer and he did not replied. This had never happened in long time, so in the morning I asked Sameer where you were last night as I sent lots of message to you last night and you did not respond. Sameer replied that his girlfriend has came back from Delhi to Pune to send winter vacation with his family and she want to meet Sameer. I felt very bad when I heard about her girlfriend, but I kept my emotion aside and said go and meet her, do one thing take her to Asoka hotel as there Chinese food is very good, remember how we enjoy the food there, no doubt that we enjoyed physically also in Asoka hotels’ room but that is another thing, and you never know you might be lucky with her also, but use condom with her as safety is must. Sameer was amaze with my answer and said you are not upset that my girlfriend came back to my life. I said, why I should get upset, she is your girlfriend and your headache, by the way don’t forget I am just your special friend or you can say friend with physical benefits. So go and enjoy you date with your girlfriend and remember don’t get too excited as your sperm came very quickly last time as you were too excited. If possible enjoy your sex with her for at least one hour. Sameer said you are the best girl I have ever meet. I replied I know I am the best, so don’t waste time on me. Go and drink 2 to 3 glass of banana mike shake and don’t lose your banana quickly, keep it strong and straight at least for today. I said enjoy the day and I kept the phone.

I was so upset that I was unable to read. I tried to divert my mind but was unable to do so. So I thought to go outside and get some fresh air. So I went to college garden and sit there for one hour. Then I though lets me go and see what Sameer is doing in Asoka hotel. It was almost 12:30 pm and I reached Asoka hotel and I saw Sameer sitting with her girlfriend in the second table, so I went back as I don’t want to disturb them. But then I thought, Priety should know that I am in the life of Sameer and we had physical relation also. So I bought a condom and went inside the hotel and stand near Sameer table and said to Sameer you must have forget do get this, as you always forget to brought whenever we spend good time. I handed over the condom in such a way that her girlfriend can see what I am giving to Sameer. I said to Preity you are very lucky have a good time. After that I left them and we went and sit two tables back. I saw them, they were quarrelling, Priety took the condom in his handle and was saying something and pointing to me. Sameer left his seat and came towards me and said what you are doing here. I said I had come here to get to Chinese food, as you know this hotel is good in Chinese item and today I am going to eat sezwan fried rice and Manchurian. If you want then have a seat. Sameer said you have come here to create problem. I said no, I just came to food. Sameer said then why did your handed condom and said I forget it when we were together. I said while coming in I saw you and Priety and then I bought a condom to help you in case you have forgot it. I was doing it because of our friendship and nothing else. Otherwise can any girl give condom to his boy friend to enjoy with another girl? Its happen only in friendship. It was a pure gesture of friendship. If some boy hand done that then Prienty won’t mind it. I said let me just clear Priety, that I am just a friend. I hold Sameer hand and said to Priety look we are just friend and as we spend lot of time together so we are free with each other, as two boys or two girls are free to share things with each other. So don’t be gelous that I am stealing your boyfriend. He is yours and we remain yours till he dies. I am just his friend with some special benefits. Priety said what kind of special benefits to you give to Sameer. I said, I thought you must be knowing as Sameer use to share all thing to you. Never the less let me explain you that I give Sameer all kind of benefit that a girl can offer to a boy. Priety said how shameless girl you are. I said what is shameless in this almost all girl in our age have somekind of physical relation with one boy and sometime more boys, you must be having relationship with boys in Delhi. Sameer said to me stop it Simran and go back to your seat and enjoy your food. I said sorry Sameer but I wa telling the truth.

I went back to my seat and started eating my food. I saw Priety and Sameer fighting and Priety pour a glass of water in Sameer head and went back. Then waiter came to Sameer and gives some tissue paper to Sameer and even helps Sameer to clean the water. Sameer cleaned himself and came to me and said what you are eating and took my plate of friend rice and started eating. I ordered another plate of fried rice and we both continue to eat from one plate. That time I felt that Sameer left her girlfriend for ever and came to me. But I did not asked him about his girlfriend but I said food is testy right. Sameer replied yes, it is tasty as always and said what if life is also so tasty like this fried rice. I said it would be tasty if you choose the right partner as right ingredient make tasty food. Same thing happen in life, if you choose the right kind of people to fit in you life then your life will be like a haven.  

That day I think Sameer choose me over Priety, as Priety is controlling where as I am just like a freedom for him. But this was the biggest mistake that I did in my life. As things become complicated in my afterlife, lets me explain you in details. After that incident Priety stop talking to Sameer and even Sameer also did not try to make her understand the situation. He use to be with me all the time as from 7 am Sameer use to call me up and at 9 am we meet at college and stay with eachother in class till 3 pm, after 3 pm we use to be a canteen or some park or movie, at night around 9 pm he use to drop me at hotel and after 10:30 pm we were again together in phone as he use to call me around 10:30 pm and we use to talk till 1 am in night. In starting I like it very much and I though life will be like this forever.

My schedule was the same for next few month and in the month of March we had our campus selection. So Sameer and I decided to attend interview of same company. We gave interview in 5 company and I got selected in 3 company, and Sameer was selected in 2 company. But we had only one company who was hiring us both so we decided to join that company. The company asked us to join their internship just after our exam and then we will become permanent staff after we get our Master Degree. We were very happy about the job, I inform my dad that I got a job and the localtion of the job was in Nagpur, which will be much near to Balangir as compare with Pune. My dad and my whole family were happy that I got a job, before completing my masters. They told me that they are with me in every decision of my life.

Sameer and I studied hard to get good mark in examination and after few weeks we gave our final examination. For both the examination went very nicely and we both hope that we will score more than 75 percent marks. As the examination got over Sameer took me to his house and told to her mother that we both got job in same company and we will be leaving Pune within a week. Sameers’ mother blesses both of us and said stay safe and be happy. She also told me to take care of Sameer as Sameer has never left Pune and she told Sameer to protect me from all problems in Nagpur. At that time Sameer told her mother that he want to make me the daughter in-law of their house. I was shocked as he said this in front of her mother, I want to kiss Sameer but as her mother was in front of us so I control my emotion. I don’t know why but I was happy as well as feeling shy. Sameer mother told that she knew that one day this situation is going to come as felt it when she found me in her house when no one was there in home except Sameer. Sameer asked her mother do you like your daughter in-law. Her mother said she like me from the first day she meet me. But she asked what about Simran parents will they accept your relationship. She asked me did your parents know about Sameer and your relationship. I said aunty I just came to know about it right now as your son never propose me. I thought I am his special friend only. Sameer mother said what? She asked Sameer you have never propose Simran, then how can you introduce her as our daughter in-law. Sameer told that he know that Simran love me, so I introduce her to you. I said I love you but I never said I want to marry you, so how can you directly introduce me your mother as her daughter. I said you have to propose me. Sameer mother took out a gold ring from his small finger and gave it to Sameer and said in film she has saw hero proposing to heroine by giving ring, and in my life you both are my hero and heroine so propose the same way.  Sameer was little shy and said mother close your eye. But his mother said before few minute you introduce a girl as my daughter in-law and you feel shy. His mother said do it in front of me, and her mother said wait I will capture the moment. Sameer mother got the handy cam and said action, Sameer keened before me and said Simran I love you a lot, will you be my wife, I will keep you happy forever. I said yes and gave my finger to him and Sameer put the ring in my finger and it was a perfect fit. I hug Sameer and we both touch the feet of Sameer mother and got her blessing.

Sameer mother said go get all your clothes and come here and even inform you parents so that they can came and we can do the ring ceremony. I called my dad from Sameer home and said Sameer proposed me and want to marry me. I asked dad what should I do? Dad replied if you love him then say yes to him as we all in Balangir like Sameer very much. My dad said but will Sameer mom and dad will agree to your relationship. As Sameer mother was just sitting near me, she took the phone and said I am Sameer mother and I accept you daughter as our daughter in-law, just need your confirmation so that we can arrange the ring ceremony as early as possible. My father said if you all are ready then we’re also ready for our daughter marriage, even we will inform you the date when we are going. My father said can I speak to my daughter. Sameer mother said no, you can speak to my daughter in-law. And she handed over the phone to me. My father told if you are happy then we are also happy. We will fix a date and inform you soon.

After the phone call got over, Sameer mother said to me go and get all you clothes, you will stay here now, I will clean the guest room for now and after marriage you can shift to Sameer room. As Sameer mother forced me to stay in their house till we go for Nagpur for job. So, I said yes to come into Sameer house. Sameer mom give Sameer her car keys and said go get her clothes from hostel. Sameer dropped me parking and said I am waiting for you. I went to the hostel and started packing my clothes, Priya came and said where are you going? I explain her all that happen in Sameer house and said now Sameer mother has asked me to move to their home and stay with them before we go to Nagpur. Priya was so happy that she said I will go with you and see your in-law house. I said ok, you may come. Priya help me in my packing and we both got ready and went to Sameers’ car. Priya said to Sameer bother-in-law, I will not allow Simnar to enter the car as first you have to pay me to take my friend from me. Sameer said ok, how much you want. Priya said for now it’s only Rs 500 rest I will collect after marriage. Sameer gave Priya Rs 500 and we got into the car and I shifted to Sameer house.

At night Sameer dad came with lots of gifts. He said to Sameer go to his car and bring few more gifts in the car. So Sameer went and I was sitting with Sameer mother. So Sameer dad came and put the entire gift near me. I touched his feet to take his blessing. Sameer father bless me and said now you are the daughter of our family so I thought to bring some gifts for you. He said as soon as I got the news about you from Sameer mother through phone. I took leave office and went for shopping. So I brought this gift for you Simran. I said uncle I don’t need all these thing I need only your blessing. Sameer father said don’t call me uncle from now call me father. I smile and said ok father. And from that day I use to call Sameer father and mother as father and mother. I open the gift as Sameer father said tell me how you like the gifts. Sameer father has brought Sarees, ornament of gold and silver, dresses and some beauty product. I saw the gift and I said I love all these products. Then we took our dinner and went to sleep in our respective rooms.

For next few days Sameer mother took me for shopping and to some relative’s house. And she uses to tell them that the ring ceremony will be done shortly. In between I got call from my dad and he said we have got the tickets of May 21, so tell you in-law we will do the ring ceremony on the next day. I said I will tell them but before I tell them the news. My dad call Sameer dad and inform about the date. We have one month left for the ring ceremony and I and Sameer went to Nagpur to join our internship.

In office also we inform about our ring ceremony and got our leave sectioned. In Nagpur Sameer and I took a flat and started living there. But things started changing there, as I have to my office job and then I have to come home and does the kitchen work. Sameer use to go to the market and get the household requirement. He also helps me in keeping the house clean. In doing office work and house work we use to speak less as we were busy in these work. In night we use to have physical relationship but it was not with that intensity and love which we use to have before we move to Nagpur.

Time passed by and we went to Pune on 20 May to attend our ring Ceremony, We stay there for 5 days as our ring ceremony was on 23 May. For the ring ceremony my in-laws has booked an AC hall with beautiful decoration. I went to with my in-law to pick my dad and other relative. Their train reached on 22 May and we arrange their accommodation of the rooms available above the ring ceremony hall. Everyone was happy to see me and said our daughter is now grown up girl, she arranges her ring ceremony by herself. Everyone went to their room and got fresh and we had our lunch together with my in-laws father.

The next day on 23 May I had my ring ceremony with Sameer. It was very nice with lots of music and fine food. I got so many gifts from my in-laws and my relative side. I was very happy that day as I was officially welcomed by Sameer family. That day we all dance, my in-laws did Marathi dance and my relative did Oriya dance and we all danced in some Bollywood songs. It was the loveliest day of my life. All that I wanted was given to me. I have Sameer and my family was happy with my decision and even now I have a good job. Life was just perfect. I just pray God that keep my life this way only as this life is perfect for me. In our ring ceremony many of our friends and Lecturers had also come. Our Research Lecturer came and said God bless you my Romeo and Juliet.

After the ring ceremony was over, my parent and relatives pack their bags as they have to catch the train next day. The next my in-laws came with me to the railway station to see off my parents and relatives. My father told to my in-laws, that he is very happy with the welcome and the ceremony, now it our turn as the marriage is to be conducted in Bride house. My father told that all of you should come before one week of marriage so that we can show you our home town as there are beautiful mountain and water fall around the Balangir town. My father in-law said they will come when every you ask us to come. They talked for few more time then the train came and my father hug me and said I am proud of your my daughter. Then he catch the train went to Balangir with all relatives.

The next day, we also took the train and went back to Nagpur. I don’t know why but from the starting Nagpur gave me a feeling of confidence may be because now I am financial independent and I love that feeling. Even there was no restriction on me as I live with Sameer, and whenever I make some plan then that plan include Sameer so there is no point of asking of permission or sating sorry as I get late. The only thing that was bothering me was the work at home, special the kitchen work and washing cloth. As in day time I gave all my energy in my job (internship) so that I can get a good position after internship. So I have no energy when I came home, so most of the time we order food from outside.

Like this time passed quickly and our result were announced and we took leave and went to our college to get our result. This time I had score 81% mark which was the second best score in the college and my combine score of two year was 78% and I was happy with it. Sameer score 72% mark and he was also happy with his mark. I called my dad and told him about the mark and he was very happy to know the marks. Sameer and I also showed our result to Sameers’ Father and Mother and both said our daughter in-law is smarter than our son. Both bless us and said stay blessed and grow in your future.

We went back to Nagpur and submitted our mark sheet copy in our office as it was necessary for us to be the permanent staff of our office. After one week our HR Executive called all the interns and said that from 1^st August you all be the permanent staffs of our company. He handled over the recruitment letter to all the interns except me. I asked, sir I had not received my recruitment letter. He said we have not given Simnar the recruitment letter because she will be your supervisor and you all will report to her, and she will be getting her recruitment letter from our CEO. Every clap and congratulated me and said wow you got promotion in only three months. I was very happy to know that I have been promoted to team supervisor position. After the HR meeting got over I visited to the CEO office, I took permission to enter the cabin and the CEO said came Miss Simran, congratulation on your promotion to team supervisor. He said we have seen your work and your effort in our company and we hope you will continue to contribute to our office. He handed me my recruitment letter and said look forward towards a great team work.

That night I and Sameer eat outside to celebrate our first job. Sameer showed me his recruitment letter and showed his salary of 20,000/- and asked me to show my recruitment letter, so I showed him my recruitment letter, in the letter my salary was 35,000/- Rupees. He said wow your salary is almost double of mine. He said may your beauty have attracted the CEO that why he made you team supervisor and now your salary is double. I replied it is not my beauty that gave me this position, it is because I work hard in office and the CEO noticed that and gave me this position. Sameer said what hard work, I made your research book and because of which you cleared your degree and now you are saying that you are hard working then me. I said Sameer keep you male ego aside as this will create problem in our professional and personal life. For the time being we stop of arguing and went back to home.

The next day I gave a motivational speech to my team and ask them to give their 100% in work and make our team the best performing team in the company. I saw that Sameer was not interested in my words and was not listening. I went to Sameer after the meeting and asked him what the problem, why he is not focusing in work. I took Sameer to meeting room and said now you can speak what the issue with you. Sameer said I am unable to cop up here in Nagpur, he continue speaking that for last three month he is not feeling the same for our relationship. In morning he has to get up and get milk and bread for tea and then get ready and come to office and work hard without any appreciation and in evening you take me for shopping of vegetable and other household items, for which I am not at all interested and in night also you ask me to wash clothes and clean dish. He said he feels like he is not the same person who he was in college life. I understood that he is unable to leave his college life and grow up to be a man. I explain him that, look up to your dad he do exactly the same. As you are now a man and not a college boy anymore, so you should adapt to the changed scenario. Look how much I have changed, in college I use to get up and go to canteen for food, where as now I have to make food for both of us. In college we just have to attend lectures and gain knowledge but now we have to prove our knowledge and show our performance. Do you think it is easy for me to handle both home and office at the same time. Even I have changed in this process. Sameer said exactly what I want to say to you is that you have changed and I am not comfortable with it. Sameer said it was you who said life is like food dish and if we mix the right ingredients the dish become delicious. But in my life I choose you as sweetener in my life but you have change and behave like a boss in my life. Even now you are my boss in office also and now I feel that you are the bitter gourd in my life. In everything you don’t care about my feelings and my choice, you just give you opinion and I just have to obey it. I said when did I not care about your choice? Sameer replied you just pick your choice of vegetables and household items and you just tell how good and fresh is the item. But my test is different and I might not like that, but you just purchase it without taking my concern. I said ok, from now we will discuss everything before purchasing any item. I said we will discuss it in home at night, now focus on work. Sameer replied yes Madam. This reply annoyed me but I ignore it and went back to work.

We reached home, I order some food with the approval of Sameer and said to Sameer, now as we have time as I am not busy in making food, so now we can discuss what you feel. Sameer said you are free from making food but after dinner I have to wash used dishes and even wash my clothes. I said I will wash the dishes and even if you say we can buy a washing machine as my salary has increased, so now we can effort a washing machine. Sameer replied that the problem, every time you use to show me that you earn more than me, Sameer said even in his salary we can afford a washing machine. Sameer continue speaking, in college days you use to move around in my bike and my car, even I book your flat and I don’t know how many times I pay the bills for your food and gifts, even in starting I paid the food bill of your father but I never show off that I am doing so much for you. Even I got you the phone that is in your hand. I got very upset as he said he has paid food bill of my father. I said what you want, just to praise you for what you have done for me. I know you have done a lot for me but I never asked you to do it for me. Sameer replied every time something happen to you, you just call me tell me details so that I can help you, this is an indirect way of asking help. I said I was new in the city and you were the local boy so I use to take your advice and I never asked that please help me or pay my bills. Sameer said then what happen here, you are still a new girl in Nagpur, but you behave like you are my boss and just take me with you to pick up your stuff. I said here you are also a new boy so I take my decision on my gut feelings and in Nagpur I am more confident as I had stayed in Pune alone and I know how to handle things. Sameer said that what I am saying that you don’t need me any more I am just a waste piece which you have to keep with you as we are engaged. I said if you think so; better end our engagement, as it would be very difficult if you behave like this after marriage also. Sameer said look, you even don’t ask about what I feel about our relationship status and you just give you decision. I said it was clear from your conversation that you are not happy in our relationship, so I said end this relationship. At that time I felt like crying, so I went to bed room and started crying and I don’t know when I slept. That night we did not eat as the food was still in kitchen in morning and Sameer slept in drawing room. It is the fist night after come to Nagpur that we slept in separate rooms.  

The next morning we did not talked, I cooked food for both of us and eat my food and went to office. I took cab to reach the office. After 15 min Sameer also came to the office. He attended my briefing session for our team and then went to do his work. At evening we went home separately and reaching home I cooked food for both of us. But we eat separately; it seems that the last night incident has drawn a permanent line between both of us. As we started to sleep separately and even we hardly talk with each other. We only use to talk during office hours that also only professional talk. Like this two month passed and we hardly talk to each other in our flat and we you to do things separately.

One day my dad called me and asked me for a date for my marriage with Sameer. I said you fix the date with the concern of my in-laws. I did not tell him about the present status of my relationship with Sameer. I went to Sameer and said; dad called me and asked about the date of our marriage. Sameer said what you said. I said to dad that he can decide a date with the concern of your parent and tell us. Sameer said last night he also got a call from her mom and she was also asking for a date for marriage. I said then why don’t you tell me. Sameer reply I am not bound to tell you everything that happen in my life and now as we are discussing I inform you. I said Sameer if we want to get married then we have to bring some love and care in our relationship. Sameer replied as you have compare me with my dad, so to inform you that my dad did not know my mother before marriage but still their relationship is stronger than ours. I said but their marriage was arrange marriage and ours is love marriage. Sameer replied think that our marriage is also a arrange marriage and if you want to change it in to a love marriage then change your attitude. I said what is the problem in my attitude. Sameer said you are always bossy. I said to wake up in the morning and to make food for you is bossy or to make your dinner is bossy. Sameer replied and said to make other person feel that you are doing favor by making food is bossy. I said when did I make you feel like that. Sameer said just now you make me feel it and every time we talk you make me feel it. I said what should I do then. Sameer said just make food as if it is your duty as every Indian women do even my mom do it and never express that she is doing something extra ordinary, it is just her duty and if there is any problem in making the food and the test of the food goes wrong then say sorry for it as you have not done your duty properly, even if I would have been a girl then I should also do the same. I replied what a typical orthodox Indian man mentality. Sameer said I am Indian and I am proud to have an orthodox Indian mentality as it has made our society strong and there are very less cases of unsuccessful marriage compare to your modern western mentality. I said it is just because your women are unable to express her feeling and say something that he dislike about the person with whom he live.  It is almost a salve like thing for women. Sameer said my mother has lived her life like this and we do not consider as salve, even she has his own car to move around, TV for entertainment, and all other facilities that one should have. It is because of the modern girls think that problems are being created in family and joint families become nuclear family and many times it result in divorce. Sameer said if you want our relation to become strong then you put your efforts and you will get you rewards. I was so upset with this that I went out from the flat and went to tarries and send half an hour there and then went to office.

After coming from Office I was unable to sleep, as Sameer words were constantly moving in my head. I was unable to decide what do choose, first a life of women with full freedom or obeying housewife. Now I also feel that whenever women speak for herself than she become wrong in the male oriented society. I feel was it my mistake to be born in a male oriented society or I should revolt against the society rules. I was unable to make a decision as if I chose Sameer then I have to let go my freedom as Sameer want me to be a obedient working housewife and if I choose my career and freedom then I have to leave Sameer.

The next morning, I called my dad and asked him why our society is male oriented and how should a wife behave. My dad said our society rules and regulation are generally made by male and that’s the reason our society is male oriented. And as per our society a wife should obey her husband and her in-law, she should be like a thread who keep the family together. I replied why should wife do all these things and husband has no responsibilities. My dad told who told you that husband has no responsibilities. As a head of family the husband should took the responsibility of earning and meeting the needs of the family. Even he is responsible for the protection of the family.  I said as women are now earning and meeting the needs of the family, does the husband should help in the household work and keep the family together. Dad said yes you are right my daughter but these society rules and regulation have taken thousands of years to evolve and it will take at least few decades or a century to change its rules. My dad said if you are unable to adjust then we can search a new boy for you, but most of the boys and their family think the same. Even if you decide to stay single then also we are there for you. But remember we will be not with you throughout your life as we will die much earlier than you, which will leave you alone in this male oriented society. In this male oriented society it is very difficult for a single woman to survive. But remember one thing whatever decision you take we are with you and we are proud of you.

For the next whole week I was thinking what to do in my life. I really say at that moment I did not want to get married but as my dad said it would be very difficult to manage life for a single woman, so I thought of getting married and it is always said that prefer a non devil than an unknown god. So I make up my mind to marry Sameer, as I known him for last two and half year. And by know I was very aware of his nature and his behavior. So I got ready to marry Sameer. The date of marriage was fixed 1^st November, as diwali (the festival of light was near that date, so everyone can manage their leave from office and attend our marriage. This time Sameer family visit my home town and they said Simnar is very open minded considering this small town. Nobody notice the natural beauty of my home town, all they notice was small railway station, small shop, small roads and unfurnished houses. Sameer family said Simnar is lucky that she is leaving this place and coming to a city like Pune. After hearing all this thing I was upset and even my family was upset too. But everything went smoothly, we perform every ritual properly and even we made special arrangement for my in-laws family. But in my marriage I was not happy and I thought I make a mistake by choosing a boy who is not from my town. But I kept my feelings aside and perform all the rituals with a smiley face. But I saw Sameer was very happy at the marriage and I was happy for him.

At the reception, some of our office staffs have also came to congratulate us and to be a part of our marriage. One of the staff came and said to Sameer congratulation, you got married to your boss and now your promotion is confirm as Simran will push CEO to promote you. Sameer replied, I am marring her as she loves me and I will get promotion through my own work and hard work. This made Sameer angry, and now I can see in his face that he was not comfortable. I hold Sameer hand and said caim down but Sameer push my hand and now in the marriage neither I nor my husband Sameer was happy, which is very visible in our reception photos. But I think everything will get ok, as it generally happen after marriage but things become worse.

After the reception I came to my room and after few minutes Sameer came into the room. It was our official first night together which is considers being very special in our society. But that night Sameer said to me, you told the office staff to insult me. I said I did not know what he was going to say. Sameer say he is your team member and you must have instructed him to insult me. I said I never spoke to him the whole marriage, but the way you parents insulted me by say that they are taking me from this small dirty town to a beautify city like Pune. Sameer said what is wrong in that you town is small and dirty and the people are black here, even they have no sense of doing makeup and wearing clothes. I said Sameer stop this otherwise it will have adverse effect on our relationship. Sameer said what adverse effect, what will you do. I said in angry I will end our marriage and take divorce from you. Sameer said how lucky am I to have a wife like you how is asking for divorce in his marriage night. He said he knew that one day I will ask for divorce but did not know the day will come so soon. Sameer said that is the reason I hate progressive girls like you, who all ways think of their self. Better we end our marriage right now. As I was very angry, I said fine I will sent you the divorce paper soon and I left the room and went to my father and explain what is going on in my relationship with Sameer. At that time my father try to convince me to be with Sameer but after an hour he said ok, I am with you we will file divorce soon. There was a big quarreling between my relative and Sameer relative after they hear about our decision. But Sameer and his family went back to Pune without taking me and after few weeks I got my divorce paper from Sameer side. I signed it and applied for divorce in court.

Mean while I got the office after 15 days from my marriage and I came to know that Sameer has left his job and went back to Pune and had handed our flat keys to one of my staff. Everyone was upset to know about my marriage and had sympathy towards me. I continue focusing on work my work and I started archiving success in my career. I live alone in the same flat which I took with Sameer. After six months I and Sameer appear in court and we took our divorce. In the court I saw Sameer with Preity, they got engaged and were suppose to marry soon. Preity came to me and said one day you took away Sameer from me, but he was always mine and now he is back with me. I said at that time I did not know what does real Sameer look like but know I know him and I tell you, one day you will also regrets on your decision of marring him. I said Sameer was my first and last mistake and from know I would never like to see him in my life. I wish he would have never entered my life. Priety said it was you who enter into our love story and now as you are out of our life we will enjoy our life. I said do whatever you want to do just never come back in to my life. Then I left them forever.

It has been 10 year now from the time of my divorce and I am celebrating my divorce with my staffs. As this divorce gave me freedom to work and live a life that I want. Now I have shifted to Bhubaneswar as state head of a multinational company and around 250+ staff work under my supervision. I enjoy my work and my staffs enjoy working with me. It is a friend environment in office. Ever staff think in the office that how stupid was that boy who divorce such a fun loving and beautiful girl. I had received many marriage proposals but I don’t entertain them and I am still single and want to live my life like this. I want to show the male oriented society that a woman can be single and happy. She does not need a man to guard her or protect her. But there still some relative how use to say some bad words for me as I am single but I know as time change they will also understand the freedom of women and a free and equal society will take up its shape.
