Rahul was very excited to start his new life in a new city, as he was going for further studies after completing his graduation. He was accompanied by a girl named Prity, who was from the same small town. In the past, both had studied in the same coaching centre for one year, which made them recognize each other at the railway station while waiting for their train. Even their parents knew each other, and both families were happy, thinking that Rahul and Prity would help each other in the new city, where they were going to study the same course.

Now, if you are thinking they will become lovers and this is their love story, then please stop—this is the story of Rahul and his journey. Prity was beautiful but had a healthy figure, while Rahul had a slim and toned body. They became friends at the railway station as the train was late by four hours. Meanwhile, their parents were also talking, but on a different topic. They were worried about how the two would manage such a long journey of twenty-six hours, especially since neither of them had a confirmed ticket. However, Rahul was very confident. He believed he could stand for twenty-six hours and also protect his new friend during the journey.

At last, after waiting for four hours, the train arrived. Rahul said to Prity’s father, “Don’t worry, uncle, I will take care of her and call you after reaching the new city.” Prity’s father replied, “I am not worried about my daughter; she is a fighter. I am worried about you, son. You are so slim that you might not be able to handle the journey.”

Rahul and Prity then started their journey. Rahul kept standing for eight hours, trying to ensure Prity was safe. However, Prity was smarter; she convinced an old lady to give her some space to sit near her feet. Around 2 AM, Rahul lost control over his body due to weakness after standing for almost ten hours. He fell onto Prity. She understood his condition and calmly said, “Let’s sit on the seat one by one. This will help us retain our strength.” They then shared the seat and their food, somehow completing the long journey and finally reaching the new city—Pune. From there, they took a cab and reached their college.

Rahul began his days in the boys’ hostel, while Prity settled into the girls’ hostel. Rahul felt a strong sense of freedom, as there were no restrictions from parents or relatives. Sitting in the third row of the classroom one day, he even thought about making Prity his girlfriend, as they shared a good bond. But just then, Prity entered the classroom with a new friend named Madhuri.

Madhuri was even more beautiful than Prity. In fact, she was the most beautiful girl in the class. Rahul couldn’t stop himself from watching her. Throughout the lecture, his eyes kept drifting toward Madhuri. If you are thinking this is a love story between Rahul and Madhuri, then you are wrong—this story has many twists and turns.

Since Madhuri was the most beautiful girl in the class, almost all the boys wanted to make her their girlfriend. Rahul felt lucky because Madhuri and Prity had become friends. He asked Prity to introduce him to Madhuri, and soon Rahul and Madhuri became friends. However, Rahul never confessed his love to Madhuri, as he feared that expressing his feelings might cost him their friendship. In this way, six months passed.

One day, Rahul had severe stomach pain and went to a nearby hospital. The doctor advised him to get admitted, diagnosing it as a case of food poisoning. Rahul thought it was a good opportunity to gain sympathy from Madhuri, so he agreed to stay in the hospital.

Rahul was friendly by nature, and he soon began interacting with the nurses, making them laugh whenever they visited him. This made him quite popular among the hospital staff and even a topic of gossip among the nurses. On the second day, Madhuri visited him. However, she was upset with him because he was not taking his condition seriously and was instead joking around with friends and nurses. Still, Rahul was happy because her visit made him feel special.

On the fourth day, Rahul started feeling weaker instead of recovering. Concerned, he asked a nurse how long he would need to stay. The nurse told him that his condition was minor and that he could leave anytime, but the hospital staff might keep him longer just to charge more money. She advised him to meet the doctor and create a reason to get discharged.

This information panicked Rahul. He immediately went to the doctor and requested discharge, saying he had exams. The doctor warned him that he would not take responsibility if anything happened after discharge. Rahul agreed, paid the bill, and left the hospital.

A few weeks later, Rahul and Prity were walking on the road when a woman approached them. She was a counselor from the same hospital. She asked Prity, “Can I borrow Rahul for a few minutes?” Prity smiled and said, “Why not? He is just my friend.”

The counselor asked Rahul for his phone number. Rahul agreed, assuming it was the same nurse who had helped him earlier. The counselor clarified that she was asking on behalf of a nurse named Nikita, who wanted to talk to him. Rahul responded politely and asked her to tell Nikita to feel free to call him.

After the counselor left, Prity teased Rahul, saying, “You are in demand among girls—in college and now in the hospital as well.”

A few weeks later, one night around midnight, Rahul received a call from an unknown number. Curious, he answered. A sweet voice said, “Hi, this is Nikita, the nurse from the hospital you visited a few weeks ago.”

Rahul was instantly captivated by her voice. They spoke for hours, and both enjoyed the conversation. From that night onward, Nikita began calling him every night. Rahul started waiting for her calls, and slowly, he began to miss her. Their conversations continued until one of them fell asleep. Over two months, Rahul felt that he had fallen in love with Nikita.

However, at the same time, Madhuri started getting closer to Rahul. They spent more time together with friends, going to church, parks, and picnics. It felt as if Rahul spent his days with Madhuri and his nights with Nikita.

Confused between the two, Rahul decided to meet Nikita. She was hesitant, fearing that Rahul might reject her because she considered herself an average-looking girl. But Rahul convinced her, as he needed clarity to decide whom he truly loved—Madhuri for her beauty or Nikita for her voice and connection.

After talking for four months, they finally fixed a date to meet.

Rahul waited for Nikita at a coffee shop. When she arrived with her friend Vishakha, she introduced herself. Rahul expressed how much he loved her voice and personality and thanked her for helping him in the hospital. At that moment, Nikita clarified that it was actually Vishakha who had advised him to leave the hospital, not her.

She then admitted that she had started missing him after he left. His cheerful nature had brought positivity into her otherwise stressful hostel life, and that was why she began calling him.

Rahul was deeply moved by her honesty. Without hesitation, he went down on one knee, picked flowers from the table vase, and proposed to her, saying he wanted to be a part of her life forever.

Nikita was surprised and asked him to get up, as people were watching. Rahul insisted she answer first. She gently placed the flowers back in the vase and said she needed a few days to think. Rahul agreed.

That day, Rahul walked Nikita back to her hostel, holding her hand, while Vishakha teased him by calling him “Jijaji.” After dropping her off, Rahul went to a nearby juice center and drank five glasses of orange juice to celebrate his proposal alone.

From then on, Rahul often visited that juice center, hoping to catch a glimpse of Nikita. Her friends noticed this and informed her, calling Rahul desperate.

One night, Nikita called Rahul and asked him to meet her again at the same coffee shop. The next day, Rahul arrived with a bouquet of roses. This time, Nikita accepted the bouquet and confessed that she loved him too.

At that very moment, Madhuri entered the coffee shop with her friends. Seeing Rahul with Nikita, she became upset. She approached Rahul and questioned him. Rahul introduced Nikita and said that he loved her.

Madhuri, hurt and emotional, said that she had believed Rahul loved her and that she had started developing feelings for him. Now, seeing him with someone else broke her heart.

Rahul found himself in a difficult situation. After thinking for a moment, he apologized to Madhuri and clarified that although he might have made her feel that way, he truly loved Nikita.

Hurt, Madhuri walked away and sat at another table, staring at them.

Rahul, overwhelmed, said his head was heated. Nikita poured a glass of water over his head and told him to calm down and focus on what truly mattered.

Soon, Rahul and Nikita left the coffee shop hand in hand. As they walked away, Nikita looked back at Madhuri with a subtle victorious expression, leaving Madhuri even more heartbroken.
